I earn half my livelihood in SL and love every minute of it! My bestselling prefab (Castle Princessia) has now sold just under 2000 copies. It was very amusing (and rather trying) to convince the tax man that I really did need to pay him tax on my earnings, and no, I didn't actually work for Linden Labs, and yes, I did sell things that don't really exist for play money that I then can convert to real money. I got passed around a good few departments before they decided who wanted to send me the earnings declaration form, lol Perhaps that is the sort of thing you mean by successful. Or....... Creating my business (Tin Teddy) has meant so much to me. After a very long and unhappy marriage to a dominating man who quashed my confidence and self-esteem, being able to do something like this has been incredible. Sure, I have had help, and I am so grateful to all those people who offered me advice and support, especially in the early days when I was convinced I could never make things that people would actually want But ultimately, Tin Teddy is my baby. And I am bloody proud of it, yes! So to me, the true mark of success in Second Life is in doing something that excites and stimulates me, which gives me a sense of pride everytime someone likes something I have made, which has taught me so much about not only running a business etc, but also about myself
