i'm looking for a rabbit hop animation. I've found a bunny hop line dance animation but I'm looking for something that could replace a walk (like the bunny hop dance but for one person). Thanks!

This belongs in Products Wanted, not here. This forum is for asking other residents questions about how SL works, not for shopping, which is why its title says Resident Answers, not Shop For Products Here, and why its description says "ask other Second Life Residents for help," not "Shop for products here." The Products Wanted forum, on the other hand, IS for shopping, which is why it's called Products Wanted, and why its description says "Looking for a certain object, script, etc? Post your request here."

Good luck with your search.

Chosenfool, my GF Sonia ain't as big of a nerd as us, so she wasn't sure, and she accidentally posted this question in the wrong forum. You act like she insulted your mother or something.

A good rule is to save your wordy, condescending, sarcastic posts for trolls. I never took you for a holier than thou "net snob". Nobody's perfect, don't assume so damned much. I'll let her know when she gets home to use her computer.

Chosen's just trying to show a new poster the ropes, Xio.

Sonia, have a look at this one. It's real cheap, only L$10...

...I mean helpful is good and all, but nobody allowed to use this Forum is in Kindergarten...whatever, I ain't on a mission to jump on somebody's case...just sounds like the tone a snobby boss would use to talk to a problem employee or somethin. Meh...fuggedaboutit...

Actually, CF was trying to get his/her jollies by berating a newbie and possibbly trying to frighten them and other people from posting on his/her forum. A simple "you might try Products Wanted farther down the list" would have been showing a new personm the ropes. This wild assualt is just that. A verbal assualt. No sugar coating or spin can change it.

Sonia,
You might try looking at some of the furry places for a kangaroo AO. If I knew who made the one I am thinking of I would just give you place, but my memory is shot. Rocket City would be a good place to look, tho.

Xio, Yosef...

Well, yeah, Chosen came down pretty hard. Unnecessarily so. Unusually so, for Chosen. Anyone can have a bad day.

I don't know about that, but I wouldn't want to work with someone who had been employed for two years and still hadn't worked out the basics of the job.

...that's easy for us to say, as regular Forums users. If you worked with somebody, that would mean they were there every workday, of course they should have it worked out.

Big, bad internet elitists always get on my last nerve. It's like an "I'm a better nerd than you" contest. Now, you, another person who I thought had normal social skills & common sense, proves me wrong too. I don't see how you can miss what happened, enough to chip in & get behind somebody who just replies to a thread to try and cut other posters down, for a pitiful ego boost.

I direct folks to the Forums all the time, because it's a really under-used resource, & you can get an answer for almost anything to do with SL here...even moreso than from the providing company. I don't see why they should expect to be insulted for a tiny mistake like that.

2 years? Look how long CF has been in SL. I guess they still need that feeble ego boost by cutting down unfamiliar names on "their" forums, like Yosef said. Thanks for an impartial reply Yosef, it's always refreshing to see folks think for themselves, instead of picking the popular opinion or an easy target.

Ah well.

...on topic; thanks for the recommendations.

[EDIT] You can Edit your posts Sonia, lol.

Nothing personal Sonia - it was your boyfriend's over-reaction to Lindal's half-hearted defence of Chosen's over-reaction . . .

Pep is Pserendipity, that's sort of a signature thingy like signing your posts.

Pserendipity is a pain to type anyway (I copied and pasted it the second time).

Yep, I think I saw too many action movies when I was a kid & read too many comics, but being unpopular is a way of life with me, lol.

That was an overreaction? I've never even been warned on these forums...and that was probably my friendliest reaction of all time, to a dumb post.

You can't see the original overreaction in this thread, just my reply...that makes a lot of sense.

I know standing up for folks who don't post a whole lot in any internet forum sets you up as a target, I've been Moderator for a few forums over the years. I've always disagreed with that tactic though. I would like to see these people talk to thier peers like that in person, without the internet and anonymity standing between us.

...maybe people talk like that to each other and accept it where you're from, but we don't put up with that junk here in Chicago, and this is the friendliest big city I've ever been to in this country. No macho crap, that's just common courtesy. Well, if you're too dumb to understand by now, just message me in world, instead of tacking on to this thread. We'll just be spamming now.

Lindal, with an "a". Or Lin, or Lindy, or even Linda in a pinch. :) But you spelled it like I pronounce it, so that's OK.

And welcome to the forums! I hope you'll post often. We're a haphazard bunch, but mostly harmless. We're in world, too...search in Groups for "The Forum Cartel".

See there's this thing called the Internet, and on it there are other things called Forums. Forums generally have two categories of people associated with them: Users and Moderators. (Many forums also have Administrators, but for purposes of this discussion they are the equivalent of Moderators with extra special magical powers that don't matter here.) Users don't have any special authority over other Users, and that's why Users are called Users, not "Assistant Moderators" or "Moderators-in-training". Moderators on the other hand ARE in charge of making sure Users don't break Forum rules. That's why they are called Moderators, because they moderate (v. to preside over, direct, or regulate, as a public meeting). Moderators even have their own special forum:

/274/1.html

which is why it's called SL ResMod (short for Resident Moderators) and why its description is "Resident Moderators help in making the forums a better place for the entire community" so I encourage those interested in enforcing forum rules to continue their search there.

Oh wait, I see now that the description of this forum right here is "Where you can ask other Second Life Residents for help on a variety of topics. Before posting, please read "About This Forum" at the top. :)" And "About This Forum" (no longer on top btw, but close enough for convenience) doesn't restrict this forum to any particular type of question at all, on the contrary it goes on at some length about how anybody can post, and feel free to ask a wide variety of questions, just not to be abusive or blatantly inappropriate in the process.

So, while I wish interested parties good luck in attaining Moderator status, it's probably best that one possess a rudimentary grasp of what the rules actually are before embarking on such a quest.

...my shrink has been trying to explain to me for much longer than you would like to, how "treat folks as equals, it's free of charge" translates into "macho crap".

Like I said, I'm available to msg in-world, unless you're just trying to add on to your post count or something.

Amaranthin, Anti & everybody else who helped out, thanks. I don't know how this thread got so silly that quick.

Wow, good thing the Teens don't have a Forum. (if they do I don't wanna know, lol)
