First off I'd like to say to Strife:
I can totally understand the imminent lock to this thread... but have a want to say this, so oh well...if I get a warning or ban or something.. it's worth it, though.. I think that'd be kinda crazy lol..anyway
-------------------------------------

I would like to say thank you, to everyone who has ever said anything useful, entertaining, kind, or just plain not mean on this forum... I would like to give a big hug to you all =P

But seriously, this forum, though it has had its bad moments (Many more than I know about I'm sure), is wonderful. I've learned more in RA than any of the other forums here, and more in probably one thread than I learn at full forums for other things (Like EQ2 and WoW and such). I find these forums to be an invaluable asset, and a wonderful place to spend my time.

It may seem like I'm just saying this because of the 'negative' threads lately and well... it is. I'm saying this now because they make me realize how wonderful this forum truly is... every day that I'm here, I don't regret a moment. It's useful and fun and I love it ^_^

I'd also like to say thank you for various other things on these forums, and for things that have been done by forum frequenters:

The Land Answers Wiki
THe LSL Wiki (Not the 'official' one)
So many various tools for various things
The threads for good causes such as the 'memorial' type threads and the serious questions, even when not related to SL.

There is so much in this forum, and done by the forum frequenters that is useful to the whole community.... on behalf of myself, and anyone else who feels that way,

THANK YOU!

You are all my hero, and I hope to spend a long time here, offering help when I can as I do now, and offering entertainment on those few occasions I'm witty enough.

P.S.
I'd like to thank Strife for his not-so-iron rule. In my opinion you are a wonderful moderator. It seems that as soon as something gets out of hand, if you see it, it's closed, but you are lenient enough to allow us some freedom. Sometimes you go a bit crazy but.. you've got a big job, it's to be expected. So thank you and keep up the awesomeness ^^

Sincerely
Oki

AR'ed for excessive positivity. ok. kidding. Wonderful post. I'd add my 2 cents, but you stated it perfectly. Odds on a lock 3:1. Odds on any sort of punishment - warning/ban/whatever = Zero.

I'd laugh if I got banned for it lol... and then repost it when I came back ;)

This was the place I first learned all about buying land and how to make use of it. I still look almost every day at the new postings

I've probably made only a 1,000 embarassing mistakes in world thanks to these forums. It could have been so much worse. Thanks everyone. Well, most of you:)

I'm a bit of a virgin when it comes to computers (that's why a got a MAC a few months ago - I'm always amazed at how much PC owners know about how everything works...) This is not only my first computer, but also my 1st "game" and forum. I don't think any of you truly understand just how much you've helped me so far. I even get to practice my English, (had to look up how to spell "virgin" heheh)

Remember, the questions you answer help many more people than just the OP.
Merci! Merci! Merci! :)

Some people complain that RA is too negative. Maybe it can be at times, but I've found it much less so than every other forum I've participated in.

Despite some occasional negativity, the forums are the first place I come to find answers. What I've learned here to enhance my SL experience is invaluable.

Great thread, Okiphia. Thank you!

I'd like to thank Ava for showing by example how to be helpful and how to behave on this forum. Maybe someday I will live up to the high standard she sets here.

Thanks to all the land experts who joined SL Land Answers Unlimited and make themselves available to answer questions inworld, especially SuezanneC for her land wiki.

Thanks to the mirth makers for all the laughs. And to the Forum Cartel organizers that created something really cool and tangible this year for everyone to enjoy.

Finally, thanks to Strife. Every time you go away for an extended time, I am reminded how important and essential you are.

Thank you for starting this thread, and to all you regular posters who brighten my days when I'm stuck in RL. The help is invaluable, too... (Although I must admit my face is still burning after reading a thread about women and panties... I had no idea! lol)

My learning curve in SL wasn't too bad in the beginning because my RL husband had been playing for a few months by then and figured out a lot of the stuff to avoid as a noob. But, I've learned quite a bit on these forums since then, and still do. Especially on RA. Thanks to everyone who's ever answered a question, chimed in to cheer up someone who has been "conned" in some way, made me laugh on here. And a very special thanks to those of you who made it possible for me to show my husband something he didn't know! ;)

I'd like to thank the members of The Academy, my Parents, God, my wonderful Director and Writing Staff, and most importantly The Lindens for making all this possible.

Not wanting to sound like another award thank you speech... it would be a real shame if these fora were not here. No matter what your question, there are always knowledgeable people here to help you. I love SL because there is always something new to learn - but the learning experience would be much more difficult without recourse to these fora.

THANK YOU ALL! :)

I really don“t post often (yep I'm shy), but i came here a lot searching for answers to my SL doubts (and sometimes for a good laugh too, I admit).

Usually I find what i'm looking for, and in the ocasional time I actually posted for help people where here to help, so thanks :)

Thanks for the useful stuff, of course. But also, thanks for...

- making me laugh until my sides ached.
- making me so mad I wanted to kick something
- making me run out to see something or buy something mentioned here
- offering me different points of view
- offering help and support
- providing opportunities to grow
- encouraging me to find out stuff for myself
- making me think

Most of all, thank you for being my online family. Second Life would be a much lonelier and scarier place without all of you.

I'm new...brand new...and already I've posted and gotten answers. I've even asked for opinions and input, which are often ignored by forum posters because venturing an opinion too often opens yourself up to being flamed. But not only did my request not get ignored, but the opinions of those who responded were respected.

Thank you all.

But, Oki, you went above and beyond for me. You've helped me here and in game and even on Yahoo IM. To you girly ---> muah!

Again, thank you all.
