Blackmarket Shop In Sl

how would i go about reporting a black market sim in Secondlife? its openly selling items stolen from real content creators... items like X_Hud, Omicron, UBU Dunks(shoes), Mystitool, AKEYO Shoes, Psitech and many others.

it is group only access, the name of the group is The Unknown Family, and it is mainly run by the sim owner, Wigger *****.

i'm new to SL and not sure how to file proper abuse reports...but old enough to know how illegal this is, and unfair to the original creators. i hope someone can help me.

i will goin inworld now to inform some of the creators, an perhaps file an abuse report to LL, i hope they are able, and willing, to actually do something about this.

so that you don't get into trouble yourself..you may want to remove the persons name from your post..
if they hear about the post and see you have their name on there they can actually report you..

Unfortunately, I don't think anyone in LL is paying attention to these forums anymore.

Some of the items you mentioned are heavily scripted items.
I thought you couldn't steal scripts, which makes me dubious about this.

Definitely check with the creators. It would be embarrassing if it turns out this sim is innocent and are selling them with the permission of the creators using one of those commission schemes or they are a mall where the creator is selling their products.

Anyway the way to abuse report is simply go inworld, click on the menu item for it and fill in the boxes it provides in the category most suitable for the offence. I think there is a category for copybot and similar offences.

This is probably the best you are going to be able to do. If you recognize the actual creators of some of the stuff there, let them know about this, and let them deal with launching the DMCA process.

Just don't make the mistake of buying or in any way acquiring any of the suspect items. You want to keep as much distance between yourself and that stuff as possible.

You might also want to contact the creators of the articles you believe to have been stolen, drawing their attention to the matter, and providing them with the slurl. Then let them investigate and take whatever action seems to them appropriate.

The resmods do, though - I think they know how to poke LL if they feel it's appropriate.

We need a bot that goes and lurks to report every person shopping there back to a database. Of course we need more than 500 ban slots so basically we need a massive database system with tp home orb arrays sensing and eliminating.

The best thing you can do is alert the creators of the items being sold and verify whether or not they are legit, and let them handle it from there.

It is the proper thing to do, since you cannot know for sure whether or not they are legit, but the creator can find out. In addition, LL most likely will not act on third-party ARs or info, but will require the creators to do the ARing before they will get involved.

It is what should happen.

Whatever it was on Falset...has been cleared out......it switched hands on Sun 25th. They'll probably move onto their next Homestead sim

There has been at least one recent bug in the sim code that's come to light that permits the copying of scripts. Depending on who you listen to, there are still known and unpatched bugs that permit this.

They should. The days when it's OK to have anonymous accounts in SL are over.

Linden Lab needs to grow a spine, ditch that Aristotle piece of crap, and start keeping their own records on their users. Make a decision that all avatars must identify their real life selves to Linden Lab, with absolutely no exceptions whatsoever. All unidentified avatars shall immediately have their ability to transfer inventory to other avatars, even so much as a texture, permanently revoked. Give them a suitable grace period, 30 days, 60 days, whatever, in which to provide their real identity to Linden Lab. Those who opt not to do so will be permanently deleted from the grid with extreme prejudice, no appeals accepted.

Drastic step but one that is necessary to start getting a handle on this stuff.

The only bad thing about this is people in some countries can be put in jail and stuff if they do things like photocopy their ID's and stuff like that and I think it'd be extremely expensive and ridiculous for those people to have to fly to California just to goto LL to prove they are themselves. Besides Aristotle is flawed anyways when they opened up Age Verification to everyone people were bragging all over the place that they were able to verify themselves with bogus info or other peoples info that they knew. Linden Labs knows this at least they should it's been common knowledge for like a year now....at least I'm pretty sure it's common knowledge cuz I always hear that argument about it with the Adult sims and how kids who used mommy or daddy's credit card to get in in the first place would be able to also get mommy or daddy's ID to verify themselves so how are they really being kept out of the Adult naughty regions exactly.......gah okies I'm gonna shut up before I really hijack the thread here not trying to sorry
