Yes, i was surprised how that Region was very laggy.....and this was before most of the land had been auctioned off. I hate to think what it will be like, once its all built up and filled with prims. It must be something to do with the existing landscaping and builds...causing this kind of lag.

Bay City..I think it's an excellent place. True I slagged it off something terrible a couple of months ago (but that was because I was out-bid for a plot and had every reason to be pissed off). Now I've calmed down and spent some time cruising around checking the place out..nice!

Nice shops, nice houses, nice buildings...well mostly!!

When I say nice building there are a few exceptions..like the 'almighty lump' rising out of the ground next to the police station in Imaganario..oh and the strangely similar 'almighty lump' rising (and still rising apparently) out of the ground next to Marianne's place. Crikey..I've just checked and both are by the same creator..what a coincidence...

Jeen (apparently we can't name names..) Replacement..is that how you spell it..who..what..? This is a name that seems to pop up all over SL

:p

It has to be said though that it is getting a little laggy

I went there a couple times, lag was horrid, so I never bothered to go back

really doesn't appeal to me

I am one of the few who prefer to see the randomness of mainland

I like seeing stuff in the sky, and random builds and such... (I am weird that way)

I am very glad I didn't go for a parcel in Bay City. Instead I set up two businesses elsewhere on the mainland for a tenth the price. And business is going quite well there!

I'm less optimistic that this will happen. I was surprised at how steeply the traffic seemed to fall off in those sims, past the first couple weeks after opening. And with new zoned Mainland and more urban sims on the drawing board (outside Sansara, as I understand it), I'm thinking a lot of latter-day land flippers are gonna get burned badly. I wonder if this time, for once, they'll learn the lesson: If you pay way more than the NPV of all revenues something can ever generate, and hope to sell it to "the greater fool," well... sometimes there just *is* no greater fool.
Hi Qie, do you have a link to the zoned mainland proposal at all? Is this going to become a reality for sure?

I like Bay City, the idea and the build. I hate the greed like Mari, there should have been a convenant to control what is fast becoming the ruination of the whole area.
