So - I imagine everyone is familiar with the First Bling charms and pendants in RL... anyone know if they can be had in-world?

No one has responded, so maybe it either does not exist or y'all aren't familiar - in any case, here is a link to where the things came from in RL:

We're familiar. We just can't stop laughing everytime it's mentioned to discuss that crap.

I'm sorry - why is it funny? It's just a cute little piece of jewelry and I thought it would be neat for the avi to wear one. Fill me in - what I miss?

The RL version, at least, is pretty cheesey and looks a bit like a cult symbol.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Amaranthim I wasn't laughing at you.. I'm not sure if there even is an ingame version.. But the real life one looks like something a pimp from the 70's would wear :/

And it doesn't exist in world, for some reason. Not only that, but you can't buy the RL version using L either!

*giggles* I wouldn't mind it if it cost less than 15 USD, because I could at least add it to my RL key chain. *mutters about allergy to nickel and having to be too darned picky*

As the first thing to come out of SL into RL, for some people, the flavor of cheese represented by "First Bling" is... amusing at best, unsavory at the very least.

Frankly I have seen the pendant worn in RL by a very beautiful woman. I have added it to my list of Tatoos to place on my body. Anyone have a suggestion on where to put it?

funny qeustion.... didn't LL trademark that stupid symbol? I realize it wouldn't hold up to other usages derived from the original symbol, in different markets, but it should surely be enough for them to stop someone from profiting on their imagery and name in RL (what with the direct mention).

that said, I'm laughing too... as much as I hate blingtards in SL why would I want to emulate them in RL? or more bluntly, I have ADD, that doesn't make me a tweaker.

Actually, if you've ever played Myst or Riven, or the new online Uru - you'd see that this was used long before SL came about.

that may be, but the reason I like it is not because it by itself is very nice, but that "Frankly I have seen the pendant worn in RL by a very beautiful woman." and she looked very nice in it :)

the pendant is not the first SL thing to move to RL
what about that guy that makes a RL rendition of your SL avatar
wasn't it pathfinder that had his done...

I remember seeing on of the lindens with the little statue of their avatar

The only inworld version I've seen was around the neck of Plexus Linden.
