I think it was directed at me too (being she said the comment about the trout rating, and her and I just finished a long chat about lots of stuff and that was one of them)

I am just as confused as I thought she and I were friends...



I think she was implying that the reason folks are nice to me (well so that she sees, I honestly do not see anyone treating me any differently than before) is because I started that long ass thread, AND got a trout rating.. somehow you replying in this thread implies that you and I are friends now, and only cuz I got the trout rating

I think the 2faced comment was also directed at me again due to the rating thing, because I was so stubborn about getting one (and finally decided to, THAT being something within me that I overcame)

I have no idea where her comments come from, she and I had a long talk yesterday, I THOUGHT we were friends...

THIS is why I do not have a lot of friends in SL... I have many many acquaintances ... but very few friends... and my friends know that there will sometimes be months when I do not talk to them, because I am a solitary person by nature.

I also HATE drama, so if she wishes to make comments like this that is fine with me, I will just move on, life continues, I will not get pulled into it with the hysterics that usually come along with name calling and accusations such as these...

if she sees me in such a light, then there is nothing I can do to change that.

so trout, it was not aimed at you, it was merely saying.. that you are now friendly to me cuz I did a rating, and that because of the long thread and the rating I am now everyone's darling... (which is sooooo off base)

ok. But you and I were friends before I gave you a rating, and there are only a very few people who I don't really try to be nice to, even when I disagree with them. I don't give a damn who gets them, and I certainly don't base my friendships on whether someone has one or not. At any rate, I don't think Czari was directing anything at me. I've always liked her, too. If I thought people were judging others or basing their relationships on whether someone had a Trout Rating or not (like people are only being noce to you because you have one) I would never do another Trout rating again. I just do them because they are goofy and fun and I hoped that they made the recipients smile.

As for directing my writing talents to something more serious, bleah. I have to do that all day long and work. Long words, complex sentence structure, careful explanations of difficult concepts applied to convoluted fact patterns. It's enough to make my eyeballs itch. I don't want to be serious. I might take a swing at a novel someday once I get my messed up personal life back together, but that's about it. I'll do one of those legal thrillers - only the twist is that it's about a transactional corporate/real property attorney. It will be 400 pages of some guy sitting at a desk drafting contracts and reviewing corporate minute books. Sounds good?

I still don't have a Trout Rating - though I am considering doing it.

Maybe just take a little break from the forums. That has helped a lot of us at times.

I can honestly say I like many of the folks here, and I did not do the rating to try to garner friendships or to get on someone's good side

I did it for my own reasons, and that should be enough of an explaination

If someone is going to get upset with me because I might chat here from time to time and did the rating thing, (even though I said I never would, and even though I said some folks on these forums annoy the hell out of me) well... that is their problem

Things change... people change... opinions and views change... it is part of life

It was Brenda's comment about the ground level being nice, and a few im's about the store being too high, that caused me to do this)
