With my sl partner away I have indulged in an old favourite of mine - My pastime is what I like to call "Newbie Hunting."
I usually hide in the bushes at a few beaches I know and IM complete strangers. They look a little surprised but I soon engage them. Then we see what happens.
So, what do YOU do when you are alone in sl, with no commitments? And if you tell me you behave yourself, you can (as my gran used to say) "pull the other leg, that's got the bells on!"

In the few instances where I've actually conned or paid someone to be my partner I would email or text msg them when they were not online.

I spend most of my time building anyway

I dance. I shop. I dance some more. I look for places to visit with him when he's back. I dance again. And, yes, I look for newbies and send them off to a gay bar if they hint at pixel sex within 10 minutes of starting a conversation.

I do behave....mostly

When I have nothing much to do I shop, I hangout at the hangout - a LOT lol. I think I have prectically memorise the layout of that place. I spend most of my free time there lol.
If i am in a bad mood I will stalk something with my popgun. I can't sim for toffee, but when I make the exploding man (easy prey) explode I feel that little bit better.
Recently I have been furnishing my new place, and shopping for furniture etc, but I always seem to end up at the hangout again.

How sad is that?

I hunt newbies too...but I take them shopping and generally help knock off the newbie edges.

I have knocked a few newbie edges off also. I once had a guy who dropped his penis so it was lying on the floor. Odd-looking thing, now I come to think of it.
I just love their startled look when an IM comes outta nowhere with an invitation - there is that silence on the IM then frantic typing.
My partner is lovely and never complains. Well, "what the eye cannot see, the heart doesn't grieve for" eh?

I tend to visit all the LMs that I have taken from notices and from friends that I normally never get time to visit. These include the FashCon announcements that I never have time to follow up on - often this means I get there AFTER the initial crowd has left

Oh God, Raymond's back.
An ex-REAL boyfriend once came back from a holiday and found a mini-cooper parked in the foyer that I had parked the help of a couple of friends. Another time, I got a boy with some sheep (when I was in north of UK) after he had been away too long. And I left them in the bedroom.

You gotta pounce occasionally - they have that kinda jerk reaction. You see fear in their eyes and their IMs get sorta dry-mouthed. My partner is kinda used to me. I think he fears for society in general with me around.
