Any suggestions for women's tennis shoes?

Not the over sized things I see everywhere but something that doesn't look like I can water ski in them would be nice.

I have looked at too many places and just can't find anything :(

Best bet is to look for shoes that are mod okay and then invest time into adjusting them appropriately. Since I do like sneakers, I know exactly what you're talking about. I'm into sneakers, not clown shoes. No mod shoes are useless. I understand why they might be no mod, but IMO it still renders the shoes useless.

I've spent a good amount of time fixing or adjusting shoes. Now I dont' think about it as a problem. I'd rather mod them to fit than go through the hassle of building my own. The other option is to make them or have someone custom make them for you.

Either way you'll probably have to invest a little time in editing them to fit correctly.
Good luck on your search. :)

Try doing a search for 'outfitters'. I'm not logged in to tell you the exact name. I picked up a pair of 'converse' looking shoes that look just great(not water ski's). They did have many styles. I got the guys shoes, but I would imagine their girls shoes would fit and look just as good.

Hope it helps. :)

I have been thinking about trying to make some, but not sure how to get them to not look like blocking prims :(

there are a few freebie tennis shoes around that are actually not too bad.
since you want them for vehicle related fun you'll want as little prims on them as possible anyways, IM mr in-world and i'll pass you copies.

Women's tennis shoes are as irrelevant in SL as kitchens, IMO.

We wear them in RL because they're so comfortable. But in SL, you can wear even the sexiest stilettos all day and never have sore feet.

So why would any avatar want to wear tennis shoes, say I? Unless you're playing tennis, of course...

...of course, we DO have kitchens in SL. Not that we use them much, except as an occasional change of scene from the bedroom...ahem.

Ironically, back when I had houses, I had ripped out the kitchen because: 1) why did I need it? and 2) it was eating up too many prims.

Oh, and I had a lovely little tennis outfit that I liked. Would have looked silly wearing stilettos.

Yup, I wear them sailing for the same reasons - stilettos look odd with cutoffs. And yes, I use just 'avatar shoes' tennies -- the gray "chuck's sneakers" are my favs. In prim sneakers, the ones I have from Whittenton's are the best - but still very clunky.

There's a sculpted tennis shoe out there that I bought for a couple of my alts. It has a little heart on the back of it.

Because some of us don't like stilettos :p I have some lovely heels (can't stand the typical blingy-babe, clip-clop ultra high stilettos I see around), but I also have some nice slacks looks that, although don't necessarily want tennis shoes, would like a nice flat, loafer style. And those are as hard to find as womens tennis shoes.

Because so many people are clopping around in bling stilettos *sighs*

Check Stryker. They make very nice, clunk-free tennis shoes.

When I decided to get a pair of tennis shoes for my avatar, I must have searched for weeks before finding a pair I liked. I ended up getting a pair of Rike Freedom and my avatar's feet have never been happier.

I just saw some adorable sneakers at Redgrave yesterday! They might come in white, but I'm not sure.

Tickled Pink has a cute pair of sneakers. They're mostly known for hair but I got an adorable pair of color change sneaks that I love.

But the third job, some call it, uh, "the show" or "the big dance," it's the profession that every linden aspires to.

I'm not into blingy 9" heels or clown shoes, and after looking forever, I found really nice tennis shoes at KR Engineering of all places. They look like the ones I wear in first life, don't have any bling, are mod, copy and you get like 8 colors for a very reasonable price.

You can look at Karsten Rutledge's picks for the location of her shop.

I think I have worn high heels all of 3 times during my time in SL. :)

This was a timely thread. I was shopping already and headed to Tickled Pink right away. Very pleased with my purchase. Oddly enough they have men's sizes also.

Woot! This thread resulted in my picking up a pair of "Vertically Challenged" Alisha shoes (tennis shoes) by Kandace Commons.

Nicely made, not oversized, can color change about 6 different parts of the shoes independently! My "find" of the week!! :D

I found what seems to be the official Reebok presence in SL. Its a rather dead sim with a store in the middle. They seem to sell only blank shoes which can be customized for $L5 extra. Its a nice idea, but if you have small feet and are short, even the small shoes are way too big.

Oh yes I second Shiny Things!! They do very very nice no-heel shoes all around actually.

That was me, Taylor and thank you for the tip :D Yes, flat, casual slip-on shoes is perfect - what I wear in RL most of the time.

/me packs slips on my new tennis shoes and heads out to buy a few pair of nice casuals
