Okay, it's going to take a couple more tweaks of the XML. But you get the pisture...

Thank you Stimpy. I went to your jira link and added a comment and a vote for bringing back the lag and badwidth indicators.

All of you who want these tiny indicators back on the screen go to that jira link and add your voice to the other 100 or so votes to smack the search team down and bring back what residents need. Torley has already responded to the jira. Go vote!

Done and done, I thought I was the only one pining for the little boxes, incredibly useful.
As soon as you tp into a sim you could see straight away what kind of performance youre getting.

Heck, it would be nice if there was a mini-lag-meter right in the title bar, something simple like three letters:

S N C

(for: server, network, client), and have them flicker through green/yellow/amber/red depending on how bad each part is lagging, and keep the old lag meter window to show the associated hints/explanations.

Because it's change!

Anyone who doesn't like a change is Against Progress! And a Luddite!

Let's all jump up and move to the next chair at Alice's Tea Party. Why? Because that's what we do!

Progress should be a change for the better, not taking away a useful tool and replacing it by a useless one...

Up at the top right corner of my Opera browser there is a Google search field - with a drop down box triangle control next to it. Click that and I can change the Google search to Yahoo, Answers, Amazon, Yahoo Shopping, Ebay, BitTorrent, Google Groups, or Google News.

We could have a similar drop down selector that would let us select Search, Packet Loss And Bandwidth Meter, Alternate Time Zone, LSLWiki Search, etc.

This would let people pick what they want to do with that area of the screen.

Also the different areas on the bar could be resizable, like the different parts of a Windows taskbar are.

I would be more than happy to go to the jira and vote, but it looks like they are currently having technical issues. :(

I've used the new lag meter with statistics bar also and it's a complete mess! I'm using a small, crt computer screen and I can't even see half of my second life with a statistics bar showing.

I was bewildered by this as well, but after posting something silly in the latest blog post, I found this...

Yay! Maybe now JIRA pages wont load so slowly!
