Avatar Ghosted In-World for 22 hours (and counting)

Link-dead avatar stuck in world, preventing login.
"Login Failed The system is logging you out right now. Your Account will not be available until [x] Pacific Time" rinse. repeat.

I can go in world as an alt, and Show On Map. I can stand right next to him; he blinks, but clearly no one is home. Nothing I do can make the simulator realize he is brain-dead.

Here is what I have tried, in no particular order:
x I have opened a support ticket under a premium account. (Current status is "Work in Progress" since about 01:30am PDT, IIRC)
x I have attempted to log in after waiting various amounts of time (0 minutes, 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 4 hours, 8 hours)
x I have used an alt to...
.o Send him an IM, send him some open chat (including !quit )
.o Send him some money
.o Offer him a TP
.o Push him into a neighboring region (this caused him to no longer be physical, and to change all his clothes and skin to "Missing Image".
x Logged into the beta grid successfully.
x IM'ed a Linden directly (I shouldn't have done that. Sorry.)

None of these things have jogged him offline.

Any other suggestions?

In the meantime, I wonder where my IM's are going? To my friends, I appear online. How rude of Adz to ignore them!

Let's see... push him into a parcel where he's banned? or one that takes damage and then blast him back home?

Even if these don't get him logged out, at least he won't be lurking like some deranged stalker... or... maybe an AR would get faster response than a support ticket.

If you can get him into a sim that someone can restart for you, just restart the sim and he will get kicked from SL then.

I was going to suggest an attack, but I didn't think you wanted to bork all your scripts.

After I pushed him over a region boundary, I can no longer push him anywhere. But, you gave me an idea... i should look up who owns the parcel he's standing on and ask him to eject the ghost.

I had this happen in my home sim recently. Some poor avatar was stuck for 4 days. I was able to bump him around and stuff from parcel to parcel. Nothing would make him vanish except a sim restart.

Now that the support ticket has sat for a while, go back in and request a live chat. A sim restart is most likely what is needed, and the Lindens are usually pretty quick to come out and do that (probably because it's easy and quick). It's the original sim that probably needs the restart, but you should ask for both just to be sure.

I went into live chat and the friendly operator was able to solve the problem in about a minute. The solution provided was that my "presence date" needed to be reset. Also, I asked if this was the fastest route to solution should it happen in the future, and he said yes. (Open Ticket->Live chat, in that order).

has some helpful instructions for the fastest route to the live chat after you have properly opened your ticket. Its a little different than what it says on the official support page, so it may save other people some time.

No actually they didn't need a sim restart in this case. Just needed to change my "presence date".

I logged in and hung out for a while, then logged out to do chores IRL
I didn't go anywhere near the troublesome region.
I just tried to log back in... The problem is back! Adz Childs avatar is ghosted in the same spot it was yesterday and today, as if the rogue region sucked him back in after I logged off!

The landowner says there is no option to eject him on the pie menu.

On the bright side, he got his clothes back.

I will try to log in again in 5 minutes (the specified time), then i'll see if its possible to re-open the ticket.

I was out of the world, and recieved an IM->email from the land owner to my alt, replying to my request much earlier today, and saying that sorry, Eject was not availalbe. My first reaction was "Oh, don't worry about it.. LL eventually solved the problem." Then i was like "wait..what... the ghost is still there?" I logged in as my alt and sure-enough, there was Adz, hanging there. Then I tried to log in as Adz, but I certainly wasn't surprised that didn't work.

I got the same operator. But, this time he said i would have to wait until a tech with special in-world powers would respond to my ticket. He said the only thing I can do i wait.

Yes well maybe if i get enough of ya there, the sim will crash, which I take it is what is really needed.

The Live Chat person wouldn't just restart the sim for you? I'm guessing you did NOT get Teeple, because he would have had this taken care of pronto.

Tell us where to go and we can all TP in and try to crash your sim and see if we can fix it before the Lindens get around to it.
