Do vampires ever pay linden dollars to bite you?

Are they allowed to?

If so, how does one go about finding these vampires.

If I sold my neck for a vampire to bite, do I have to become a vampire too or can I just enjoy SL as I have been in a non-vampire way?

The vampires that need to get 'bite counts' tend to be Bloodlines or another system...

Once they bite you you are marked in that system's database as theirs, and -YOU- have to pay -THEM- to let a different vampire bite you...

Bloodlines will ask you if you want to be bitten. The other system does it without your consent, so you may already have been claimed...

I'm a vampire and have never heard of having to pay to bite someone...whether they have already been bitten or not. From what I understand .... money only comes in to play when you want to either buy your soul back or have someone else be the owner of your
soul. When this transpires only the owner of your soul can make the decision if he/she will take money for it or something else.

As for the question do you become a vampire once you are bitten...no. You have to join BloodLines to become a vampire. If you were bitten and did not join BloodLines and become a vampire...when I scanned you it would just show your soul in limbo and say you need to drink the Wormwood potion to get it back. It would also say that if you chose
to join BloodLines then your soul would go to the person who bit you and their name would show in the scan.

The new BloodLines has it where you have to give permission to be bitten..others may not have this but I know BloodLines does. And if you are in BloodLines you can not bite anyone under so many days old.

When I read the title of this thread I also thought that for a fee I'd consider allowing someone to bite me (instead of bitching them out like I normally do) .. but the number in my head was a whole lot more than ten.

... furthermore, Bloodlines itself doesnt have to have anything to do with this particular piece of the puzzle. If a spampire is truly motivated s/he should find ways to persuade. It is a private matter between the two parties what manner of persuasion is effective.

Depends. TP into a nest, ask for 10 L, let each of them pay you, then TP out after having muted them all and declined all requests.

Yes, you can get paid for being bitten. In the Bloodlines game, this makes you what they call a "blood doll"...a sort of walking pantry.

The vampires will take care to keep you alive, because they want the bite points. Enough to pay $L for them, even.

Bitten once in Bloodlines = 'they own your soul.' In their database, at least.

Yes I think you have to do more in order to become a vamp after that. Accept the 'maker' i.e. the one who bit you as your liege, or someone else can be also, and it usually involves money trading hands somehow.

You can roleplay for free so I have never understood Bloodlines except people like structure, I guess.

I do not even remember who it was.. It was a woman though... I find the women are more aggresive in asking random people, the males more selective. strange...

Lol yes - most of them just want the one bite, to up their points or whatever. Most seem to have no interest in actual roleplay, which is both why they rarely continue the 'storyline' once biting someone, and also why so many in SL are annoyed with them. "Can I bite you" is the hanging on the street corner version of vampire roleplay.

The good side is that because you have already been bitten you won't get more bite requests.

It makes you a human with your soul in limbo. No you don't have to drink from the host vampire to become a vampire. Once you are bitten and you join Bloodlines you get a crate with a hud. You attach the hud to you and then you choose your Liege. Your Liege would be the "host" vampire that bit you. Once you choose your Liege your soul goes to them.

Once you become a vampire if you decide that you want someone else to be your Liege you have to have that person go to your present Liege and ask for your soul. Your present Liege will decide what...if anything...they want in trade for your soul.

So as it stands now .... if you were bitten and I scanned you it would show you as a human with your soul in limbo. It would state that if you joined Bloodlines your soul would be mine.

When I played vampire the masq many many many years ago..... It was so very different.

Exactly - it's a pyramid scheme, not roleplay - although some might add roleplay to it.

There are vampire sims and groups that roleplay without any of this. Why should real money ever change hands (lindens are real money) in a vampire roleplay game? That is usually what Bloodlines comes down to; every story I've heard, at least.

If you want to roleplay vampires in another way, Gabriele Graves on the forums would be a good one to ask about it if you want.

There are at least two VtM sims that I know of (and probably a lot more that I don't know of). Both of them seem to be getting started with the roleplay, but they look promising.

Her soul only goes to the person who bit her if she joins BloodLines and becomes a vampire. All the vampire gets from the bite is her "blood".

The only reason I became a vampire was because the person I was seeing was one. I am no longer with him and had a fight on my hands to get my soul to give to another Liege. I am not in the "game" to bite...only did it for my bf at the time so ... yes...it does take the romantic part of it out of the game.

Bloodlines is about acquiring as many souls as you can..the more you have the higher up you are in the clan.

I only speak of BloodLines...don't know how the rest operate

I was bitten by a very decayed, moaning spampire and now my limbs are rotting off. Also, I have an odd urge to nibble people's skulls.


Am I doing it rong?
