I can't. I've been trying for a good 30 seconds.

soooooo.

If you're Russian when you go into the outhouse and Finnish when you come out, what are you when you're inside?

EUROPEE'N

/me adopts superior, virtuous air.

That was, in fact, the jest that came to mind...but I had far too much class to trot it out into the open myself.

Thanks for taking me off the hook, Trout! Er, so to speak. :D :D :D

By viewer do you mean Client? So I don't need to use the SL client to use SL?

You still have to have the SL client installed to use all of the open source viewers I've seen. Nicholaz refers to himself as 'The Mad Patcher' and that's primarily what he does...implement fixes and improvements over the official viewer.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

is there a patch that lets me automagically deny all animation requests by objects? I got to experience one of those oh so lovely exploit bombs today...

Siro,

The hip new fad is to send racy pics inworld to Trout Recreant to get rated on a scale of 1 to 10 on how slutty you are. 1 is least slutty, and I think someone got a .7 on that. No one has ever gotten a 10, but 9.8 is pretty damned high. I got a 5. Last I heard, both males and females could apply, although as far as I know, Bradley's the only guy who's ever sent Trout pics of himself. Competition is fierce.

Okay, another question:

Are there still Linden run events where it is possible to earn a free permanent land tier? I remember participating in Burning Life. That was a lot of fun. I didn't win, but it sure was a great time meeting and building with some of the best. Naturally I've never limited myself to only this type of contest, but I was wondering if they still had them. It's nice to have a plot to sell stuffs on, but can get prohibitively expensive.

Are rental cubes still a popular way to open a shop for non-landowners or is there a new paradigm?

The first ten million years were the worst, and the second ten million years, they were the worst too. The third ten million I didn't enjoy at all. After that I went into a bit of a decline.

Random Douglas Adams quote quotient achieved for thread.

People still rent, but camping bots have lagged the bigger malls to the point where not many real people shop there.

Trust me. Nobody was more surprised than I was. Bradley was an exception to the rule of female pics only.

*snort* Being superior to, and more virtuous than me is not much to be proud of. It doesn't even make you average. Please set your goals a little higher.

Nope, Lindens don't give away land at all as far as I'm aware of. The Lindens being involved with the residents doesn't happen much at all these days. They do hold office hours, which I think is commendable since most companies don't have their staff so readily available. Unfortunately they've just grown too big at this point to do much else.
