if you reuse the same sculty texture over and over. you'll save on client memory use and loading time drastically. someone already mentioned this, it's more of a clarification.

A box prim actually has more than six polygons. The faces are divided into more than one polygon so that lighting works better. It's still less than 1024 though.


Good point. We're still talking about maybe 32-64 polygons versus 1024.
