Take a look at the Heian-era sim run by Dithean Ringo in Kawaii. She's done the most artful landscaping I've seen in SL yet, most recently a small Shinto shrine surrounded by a mixed grove, lit by shafted sunlight, with dragonflies, water effects... she also has a small recreation of the ryoan-ji sand/stone temple garden on the grounds. Astonishing.

Shikigami Kamboko designed a nice shinto shrine and public bath, but I don't remember the region, but I do remember there are several religious builds in the area, I'd IM her.

Astonishing. I went there yesterday ... it is lovely, and I had a wonderful conversation with one of the owners. It was an experience like those I had over a year ago, when I joined ... a little magical, international, the sim owner coming up to you and saying hi There is also a small gift shop where some of the decorative elements from the gardens, palace and temples can be bought. The grounds are not littered with artfully placed meditation poses ... it is more realistic, where you go to a shrine or temple for that. .

In terms of meditation, we have a Tai Chi group in our garden at the Hosoi Ichiba. I know Cherry has already visited

Perfect for meditation

As Markubis said, Bodhi (correct spelling is a wonderful alternative. There are Buddhist buildings from all over the world there and you can even meditate on mount Kailash or even up in the sky! Bodhi provides audiovisual material too, so you can also watch a video or listen to a podcast. Namaste! Marya

From: Lucrezia Lamont I understand, Cherry. My tea house land on Black Art is like that -- a vision I couldn't describe, not authentically Japanese, but pretty nonetheless. Land that recently I've had to surround in 20' high bamboo walls for the ugliness around.
Floating junk in the sky? Ugh. Other than VERY high perimiter prims, I've no idea what you could do. Sorry.
As for the rest, I'd really love to see what you have done. I'll look up your Picks in profile but if your land isn't there, could you post a landmark? It sounds fabulous! With pleasure! I am wrestling with water today but aside from one floating for sale sign I've blotted out the most part of stuff I don't want to see. I anticipate that I'll have the place done by Friday morning SL time - I better have, cos otherwise I am accessing on a laptop from a hotel - this is assuming that the wifi is working and since I am getting hitched there's a very good chance that it won't be - the law of the sod!
