One on hand I am not surprised LL's pandering to the Flat Earth Society and their drive for censorship (BTW - I want to complain that I am offended by children, religous fanatics, and agressive stupidity...are going to segregate those people? No, we are going to pander to them!).

On the other hand, I wonder if they realize they are actually contributing to the problem.

So far, people want society to raise their kids in schools, police their kids on television, what they read, what they hear. Yet the question that keeps being asked is this: Where are the parents?

And if we are going to spread to private industry, where are the HR departments?

It is really very simple. You go someplace you should not go and you get banned, or fired, spanked, or grounded for two weeks from Facebook.

LL, you are doing nothing but enabling a society that refuses to be responsible for any of their actions. No conseqences for bad chocies or bad behavior. Can you net see that? Parents are responsible for their children, not you. People are responsible for their actions on the job, not you.

These are sad times indeed for one of the most inovative, barrier removing, cultural places on the net. You should be ashamed. But I will stay and stand up for freedom of thought until you toss out all thinking individuals.

And I managed to say all of this without mentioning the sixteen times I crashed in a period of three hours. hmmmmm.....are we being punished perhaps?

I vote that we all move to the Adult and Mature sims and let the PG sims rot. I'm an adult. If I want my world sanitized via Disney, I'll go watch the Disney channel. Or bubble wrap myself.

Since I am not into the bubble wrap fetish and I think Disney channel is the most mind numbing series of child-sized soap operas...

I think LL is probably making the stupidest move ever, but LL didn't ask us our opinions. They did "discuss" this with us. Which is an improvement over when they opened the flood gates.

These forums are officially PG, and I for one would welcome a place for actual discussion of adult topics.

I'm open-minded but I don't think there's any need for a special adult-only forum on the official LL website. On an independent site, maybe - but then such forums must already exist somewhere, I'd imagine.

Yes, there is and it is inevitable. If LL wants to implement a consistent and complete adult policy, that is separating anything adult/mature from anything PG, they have to apply the same measures like inworld to their forum. That is a strict separation of content, no mixing of search results and age verification to allow one to login.

There is no gray zone in between. Adult policy implementation? Then be consequent!

It *would* be nice if Ursula had its own forum.

We all know that LL does not give a sh*t on what their residents think. Look at MISC-2727. 3300+ votes and not even a Linden assigned to it. On the other hand Blondin confirmed to me that they are actively monitoring and reading the topic. Openly ignoring it. Draw your own conclusions about this if you haven't done so already!

About the forums, we all know that there won't be any change. LL has shown complete ignorance in the past and continues so. Does that mean we should shut up and accept it as a fact? LL = Gods? I'm not religious and if LL thinks things are granted due to "Godmode" and ignorance is the way to deal with paying customers and the hands that feed them it is their decision. Alienating customers = defeat = death in the market. That's not rocket science.

If LL wants to stay in business I expect them to listen to their customers. And if they want to introduce an Adult Policy they should do it properly, in a way that protects both sides. PG and Adult/Mature.

To have a separate forum here where search results and threads about adult content do not pop up for PG members, the same way PG results about the latest Mickey Mouse accidents do not pop up in Adult search, is inevitable. There's nothing to stop someone registering a forum called Ursula.com or similar now I guess, but verifying all the members were adults could be interesting, perhaps a system wher you had to be invited by a member?

Well, Ursula.com is Special Occasion dress maker in Switzerland. Wonder if they would let us hang a adult forum off their site somewhere..

It would depend on what type of Special Occasions they make dresses for, I guess.
