From: Phil Deakins Are you a user of SS, or are involved with it, Cheree? I am just a very satisfied user of the product. I have also helped write parts of the wiki: http://www.sculpties.info/mediawiki/index.php/Main_PageThe product has some of the best support of any product I have seen in SL. The creator has regular office hours on Sunday where we ask the difficult questions. The Sweet Sculpties group is very helpful to both beginners and advanced users. And there are 2 or 3 people offering classes during the week. I get no compensation for doing anything with it. I help people because I enjoy it, and because I have been reasonably successful at selling the sculpties I have made using it.

Ty, Cheree. I was hoping that you were a part of it. The support sound excellent.
Has anyone brought up the idea of a free trial of some sort? I really would like to see it in operation before buying it. Even the ability to create one sculpt map would be very useful - just to see what it's capable of.
However, could you post the times and locations of the classes please? Watching one would be good information too, even if I can't join in.
ETA: Cancel that request, Cheree. I'm looking through the tutorials, which look as though they provide the info that I could pick up by watching a class - better actually.

There were some good tips in this thread: /8/9a/315903/1.htmlWhat I did when I had this same issue was go back to the original creator and ask them to reduce the bounding box, which worked and allowed me to link the columns and still be able to walk around them. The trade-off for doing this is that the sculpts will fall apart visually much quicker as you pull back from them with the camera. The larger the bounding box, the better the sculpts hold their shape at a distance. What you seek can be done, just know the trade-off.

What you seek can be done, just know the trade-off. This is something that sculptie makers deal with constantly. There are tricks to use to overcome many of the pitfalls. Several times, I have gone into group chat to yell "I hate LOD, I hate it, I hate it, I hate it." Then I go back to work and find a solution to my problem. We just cross our fingers and hope that future viewer changes don't change the rules and make our sculpties look bad. I'm glad you worked it out with the creator. That is the best solution within the current constraints.
