Do you really think many people bother though. I mean I can't be bothered spying through peoples windows, are their actually people who do? If so are there many people who do?

I think that most people are decent and will not sit and watch for too long if they see something private. I mean, I like to look at people's furniture. I like to see people's tastes and the expression of their personality through interior design. I like to examine other people's builds. But if someone is in there changing clothes or being intimate? I'm not going to sit and watch.

Lets hope most people are like us ![]() |

As a noob I tended to wonder around the grid letting myself into peoples houses because I had no idea I wasn't allowed there. I was told if it's not locked or doesn't have security then you're allowed to enter. Morally though I guess you are entering someone’s personal space. I don't really want strangers wondering round my house or shagging on my furniture, so I like locks....peace of mind ![]() Some of my tenants agree with you. If they ask, I'll even install a security system. But as for me, my door is nearly always open. Nobody can steal anything, and they don't even get the sheets wrinkled...so why shouldn't they enjoy my place when I'm not using it? Besides, I like showing off my builds. If I come home and find someone there, I'll have a little chat with them. If they're nice, well, I might make a new friend or two. If they're obnoxious, Freeze/Eject/Ban are always handy... _____________________

Love how you think and I do agree. I have considered the fact that the sheets don't get wrinkled and there isn't really anything they can do there. I just like the option to lock up if I feel like it.

What kind of door script do people like in their prefab doors? I have a complex door script that I'm reluctant to release for use in prefabs because I think it's much more complex than most users will make use of, and might just make for more customer support requests than is justified by the few who will make good use of the features. So, prefab sellers, buyers and renters, which do you prefer? Simple or feature-packed? Do renters and prefab buyers insist on locks? I'm assuming they do. Do they insist on access lists? Do they insist on more than one person with the authority to change settings and lock/unlock the door? Do they insist on remote control of multiple doors from a common controller? The Word "Controller" is a problem.. Adding a menu to a simple thing such as a door is like trying to re-invent the wheel. one Click - open - Auto Close - lock - unlock Voice command - The end Anything that creates more work or specially launches a pop-up and makes you stop and select an option is sure to piss people off in the long run. |
