From: Cunundrum Alcott I think we have to assume and treat eveyone as an adult because when it's all said and done even age verification is not fool proof. Well since Age Verification will be voluntary, and for now SL will still have a 18+ "I Agree" selection, We still have to assume everyone is an Adult by default. Just not provide then access to adult/mature content.

From: Dakota Tebaldi As an aside: according to people I've spoken to, being website age-verified will not prevent your account from being suspended if someone reports you as underaged. According to one particular person who claimed to be speaking from experience, even providing evidence of age to LL to restore your account after being suspended for suspicion of being underaged, will not prevent you from being suspended in the future for the same suspicion. That doesn't make sense to me, but there it is. Well, the former part makes sense - the standard of proof that LL demands for age verification for its own purposes is _far_ more strict than that asked for by Aristotle (in that, well, they ask for actual proof of age). The latter part doesn't make a lot of sense, no, but I have heard of it happening too. I theorise the existence of an alien disease causing people to become younger as time goes on, which is being covered up to prevent mass panic, but which LL have been made aware of and must incorporate into their systems. That seems far by the most likely explanation to me.

This is a problem. And its even worse when you consider the Guilty until Proven innocent nature of the system

What is psychologically interesting is how child avies are treated. I frequent a very popular adoption agency and all that has to happen is a 'strange man' shows up and you never seen so many women appear magically ready to kill

FYI Age Restricting land does not work the way it was intended. If land is Age Restricted nobody can get access, not even if you are verified. This is a known bug.
