100 sims? Who the heck was this?
There are things Linden Lab can try and do, sometimes someone else is willing to step in, 100 sims is a bit of a big burden to take on but certainly there are times when Linden Lab could get themselves a customer by working with the resident or residents involved when the estate owner goes awol.

I'm just kind of shocked.
Seriously, it's one thing to sell off or shrink an estate, and another thing for it to go boom. Can't build an estate like that overnight, either.
I wonder what happened.

Depends on rates, homesteads don't make a lot but even so, you still had to obtain them somehow.
Say they cost 250 each, that's 25,000 dollars right there.

I would release my mainland holdings except for my 512 lot and the tier difference I am spending I would then apply it towards the homestead tier. and thats why LL will not do it. Mainland will go down the drain and they love all these landlords earning HS tier for them.  |

That is true but I will still be paying tier to LL directly just like I am doing with Mainland. If I got the homestead I would be paying more than $15.00 USD. |
