Mainland--Which One is My Property On?

I'm somewhat a newbee still.

I know there are at least 6 Mainland continents; however, I can't seem to locate a detailed map of the SL virtual world to be able to locate on which continent I "live". I have seen "world maps" at various info hubs but they haven't helped.

Currently, I own property in Juree and Euttum, which I know are in the northeast corner of our continent. But what continent?

Anybody know?

And does there exist a world map or maps of enough detail to see the region names on each of the 6 continents?

You don't need to know the continent...it's really irrelevant.

If you get 'lost,' just type the region name into the Search bar in the Map window.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

I'm hoping there is such a map---and that someone has a link to it. ^_~

But you can find out which of the continents you're on (if not the name of it) by pulling up the Map inworld, then moving the slider (bottom right) to the left until you see which of the six continents you're on.

Judging by the shape of it when I searched inworld and pulled the map view right back, I would hazard a guess at Jeogeot as your continent, but don't quote me on that :D

Edit: This thread is all about the inworld maps that Carl Metropolitain creates and keeps updated:

I'm not that much of a newbee, thank you very much . . . but I am curious . . . and that's where my question comes from.

Piece of Advice: never ever tell a curious person what they need to know and what is irrelevant. You discount their intelligence terribly when you do so.

Hi Rema! You are definitely on Jeugeot (that's the lowest left continent on the inworld map), aka "The Korean Continent" or "The Southern Continent". I've never seen a map that goes down to region name level, but I have sent you Carl Metropolitan's map of Continents. Rez it somewhere inworld, and it will automagically update when/if Carl updates it.

The way you use it is, you zoom out all the way on the inworld map, type the region name you want to find into the map's "search" field, and then slowly zoom in on the place where the region shows up (a red circle). After a little while zooming in, you will see shapes that correspond to Carl's map. Or, if you don't, the region is probably a private island.

Have fun!

Thanks for the reply, Skell. Jeogeot been my best guess too; but I'd really like to be sure.

Thanks for the link to Carl Metropolitan's map; this is a more recent map than the one I last saw at the Hobo Infohub.

I don't spend too much time worrying about it, but I like to know which one I'm on. I'm also fond of the first two contients, due to the "historical" content of both.
