What makes it bad is that now this is a TOS violation. So now people are getting away with using a system for false traffic that club owners like myself do not want to use because not only is it cheating in my eyes but a TOS violation. But yet several clubs i am seeing them getting away with it although they have gone out of their way to hide it.
They know what they are doing is wrong and that its a TOS violation but hey with the lil slap on the wrist they get for first warning they are all going to abuse the system till LL either catches them a second time or ups the first offence penalty. Its a club owners responsibility to pay attention to what is changing in SL and to stay informed. Ignorance is not an excuse.
Either LL needs to get up to enforcing this better, upping the fines for violations or scrap the whole thing. Its garbage that there is something that effects our ability to run our SL buisnesses and there is people going out of their way to CHEAT the system.

Say you're a Turkish Club owner that can't speak English....how do you stay informed with a LL blog deeply hidden and only written in English? The only way they'll stay informed....is when someone eventualy filters that information to the them i.e Club visitor.....but say the Club plays Turkish music and really only caters to the SL Turkish community....there might be a long wait until that awareness becomes apparent.

If they (LL) can post snowball fights and other things to show on the login screen...seems like this info might merit a prime advertising spot like that.

From: Mickey Vandeverre 3 weeks already?
Disappointing. In the MMO world they like to do things like this 'em mass'. Step 1: Announce a ToS violation issue. Weeks 1 - 20,30,50, etc...: Gather evidence of violators. Regularly repost the info. Week 50: Ban a few million accounts in one massive sweep. Ban them by credit card, bank account, SSN, etc, so they can't come back, ever. No talking, no hand holding, no 'you are on notice,' no appeal. Make a press release. Week 51: Very loudly ignore all the internet protests from people who got banned. Week 52: repeat above. The assumption is that after X time of a public notice being out there, nobody has an excuse, and people still in violation won't change, so get rid of them. Not saying that might be in work here, but I'd caution anyone who thinks the slow action is an excuse to start botting or camping again to be wary.
