i suppose this is just a vent
I was out shopping then my lover came on sl so i teliported home,i wound up in the middle of the ocean no land around anywhere but i was on my island because i could hear the rain by the swing where i have a rain ball
Unable to teli anywhere i logged out to log in again,now the system tells me my account will not be available until 15:54 SL time right now it is 3:54 SL time
We were going to a concert so now the evening is ruined
It made me think of a business having important meetings on SL and something stupid like this happens
If SL wants to attract businesses on SL they have to prevent stupid stuff like this from happening
If i did something wrong,ok but this is SL s fault why does someone have to be locked out for so long grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Keep on trying to log in. The "logged out till <some time in the future>" message is usually bogus and lets you log in before the time shown.

Now it says my account won't be available until 16:05,whats this i get punished trying to log in before that time and they add time Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr again

That's just a generic message to keep people from hammering the login servers. A lot of times you can still get in. It's nothing directed at you personally.

Oh i realize that but i have someone waiting for me and a concert to go to and i m locked out,i keep trying but no luck
So she is on our island and were talking on yahoo messenger
Now it says 16:16 so the more you try the more it adds time

reopen SL and clear your cache, close it, wait about 2-3 minutes and login, should be fine

At one time SL had this problem alot, for a long time I have not heard it until a couple of weeks ago, now it seems to be getting more common. Happened to me for my first time 2 days ago.
You have to submit a Help ticket to get the "stuck presence" cleared.

I don't believe I've ever been able to log in early when I've had the notices that I can't log in until a point five minutes in the future,

oops nm just got in, took awhile, so just let the login screen sit there till it errors or lets you in

Probably yours was a "region is in the process of logging out"i have got that many times if i crash and try to log in right away,it just means you have nt been logged out by the server yet

well it's been two hours and i'm still locked out,now the locked out time is 2 hours more,if i keep trying i will never get in
So i'd better give up until tomorrow,have no idea when my ticket will get viewed

I can usually log back in 15 seconds after crashing out. I generally don't even look at the "account will be available at whenever" message. Basically, when I crash, I try to log in again right away in order to initiate the logout process. Then I count to 15, and log right in. I have never had a stuck-avatar issue.

However, I understand that simply having someone try to IM your stuck avatar will usually unstick it.

What kind of an answer is that "get used to it" Ive been on sl 2 years and that has never happened and the concert did happen it was on when i was waiting for my lover to log in

Well it's the next morning,still locked out,support said they cleared my

tuck presence and i am to clear cache before logging in,did that and it did'nt work,cache won't clear because i'm still logged in
I went inworld with my alt avy and went to my island,checked my alts friends and it shows me logged in,i did the find friend thing and there i am stuck under the ground right below me.
Does anyone know that if i re start the sim will that release my avy from being stuck in world
Well can't do that anyway,my alt can't restart the sim,i guess it's support again

Have your alt give your main L$1. I here that will log it out. Also, did you clear your sl cache on your hard drive instead of in sl. That works much better. Hope you get it fixed soon, don't like it when I can't log in either.

I finally did get unstuck,cleared the cache and all is back to normal
I had to go out and when i got back in i tried my other computer and the cache cleared ok,maybe my stuck presence became unstuck while i was out

I am suffering the same "stuck avatar" problem now for several days. Have sent ticket(s) and was supposed to have been unstuck by the tech. I was able to clear cache, and login, but now the problem is back.
I must appear online to some, because i just noticed sl email from a friend, and she was crying out "come quick i need help" and omg I am not able to get in.
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
OH, and now it won't even clear cache. Tried that.
