when i log in and get the new tos, the button to say "I agree" wont light up! So I cant agree! D'oh!

I'm using the nicholaz viewer, downloading the regular, non tweaked client now - perhaps it'll work with that.

I use the nicholaz viewer (18xg) and I was able to accept it.

an "offer" to take your claim against LL to small claims court if it's under 10,000 USD.

Actually it is the option to avoid court at all:
"Our new updated TOS, which are the terms and conditions on which Linden Lab provides access to the Second Life environment, give Residents the option of resolving claims for amounts less than $10,000.00 USD through a proceeding conducted by telephone, online, or based on written submissions. With this proceeding—called “binding, non-appearance-based arbitration”—we aim to save Residents both time and money by eliminating the need to appear in person at the arbitration hearing to resolve small claims."

I scrolled to the bottom of the ToS, couldn't accept.

Quit... tried again... no ToS presented, hit (connect) and the viewer shut down.

Trying again... and noticed that the button being hilighted was offset from my
mouse cursor. I resized the viewer window and tried (connect)ing again...

The ToS challenge came up... and accepted my agreement.

In my case I think it was that I re-sized my desktop (changed monitors) since
last login to SecondLife and it was confused about where my mouse pointer was.

Ooops.

Alt in but I am out...

Was able to accept the new TOS for my alt (which I logged in first) but my main account is still "Loading...". I cleared cache and rebooted but to no avail. I've been able to log back in since with my alt so it's not a client or connectivity problem.

Tos Loading
09-18-2007 16:47
Ok, I was finally able to log in. This is what i did though. I uninstalled, rebooted my pc, re-installed sl. Opened up preferences in the Web tab, I cleared both my browser & my cookies then went to the Graphics tab i changed my Full Screen Aspect Ratio to 5:4 after doing all that the TOS came up and was able to accept. I hope this helps those that are still having problems.

In other words the "Please, Please, dont sue us!" clause.

I had no idea we had a web tab in our preferences... that seemed to do it. Thanks AJ.

Cannot log in: term of services dont load, I cannot agree and I have to quit. O cleaned up my cache already and still cannot read.

SL people could think another way to make people read terms of service. Not funny this one.

Some light what to do, please?

The img trick hasn't worked in a while...
?? It still works for me... vanilla Firefox, no greasemonkey. I've been using img tags (instead of Strife's greasemonkey script) to try to be "friendly" to non-Firefox folks and others who haven't yet learned of that script... but if it's not working for some folks anymore... hmmm...

aha! Yes!

click preferences and then web and clear cookies and cache.

Then it works.

What a rather large steaming pile of horse manure. I work as a developer and this little "glitch" just cost me a days work.

Excuse me now, for I must take my leave of you all in order to find something inanimate within range of my boot, and kick it.
