Thank you all who have tried to help me with the answer from my previous thread....Here is where I stand at this point .... I have contacted SL live chat support numerous times and nothing helps.... I get disconnected or they dont answer at all..... I have deleted the voice version and reinstalled prevoice...... this doesnt work now either....... when I do log in I am in the ruth avatar frozen and cannot move and the whole thing doesnt load up ..like no inventory .... no ablitity to move no L$ in the account and up in the right hand corner a little Loading...... and that is about it I can spin in circles though so I guess that is a good thing...... now here is the kicker ....I have had 2 different friends log into my account and everything works fine for them...... I logged into another friends account and everyting worked fine for me on his account ..... I could move see everything fine and function perfectly on the prevoice version that is ..... but hell at least it worked .... but when I go into my account nada .....any advice for this one....the last chat support person I got suggested rebooting the puter and turning off the router and letting it reset ...... I was like ummmmm if I can use someone elses account and avatar just fine why would that have anything to do with mine working or not ...but hey I gave it a try and as you might have guessed still nothing......can anyone help...I have tried moving to different regions and all that as well and still nada ....ruth avatar frozen in one spot squatting ....any ideas?????

Did you check your firewall settings, both software and hardware? Try disabling the firewall and then log in. Maybe your account uses just that one tiny different connection bit that gets blocked by it...

My Resident Geek's first thought was that it's your graphics drivers. ATI is famous for not playing nice with SL. Also, we've had lots of problems with Dell computers here. We won't buy another one.
Except...you said that your system DOES work with another account and avatar. How strange! Could you have MULTIPLE problems?? With the computer AND with your SL software? R.G. asks: Any chance of selling the Dell and getting a real computer? |

It could be that your cache has badly corrupted data regarding the appearance of your avatar or it's surroundings which is causing it to sieze up.
I'd recommend trying to uninstall SecondLife completely, even so far as to throw away the folders that may be left and empty your trash can. Re-install from scratch and try again. Do you have problems logging into your friends account with the voice client? Also, you're not on a wireless connection are you? |

Rusty he already said that he's wireless in that OTHER thread (by the way, Leather, it's easier for people to track your progress through one thread rather than multiple ones...)
/327/63/208386/1.html But this is avatar related, because he can log in as other avatars. Strange... _____________________

God I hate Windows. So, when you install and run SL on Windows, stuff gets strewn all over your disk. Because you're able to run a different account just fine and other machines can run your account, the stuff that's b0rked must be specific to your own account on your own machine, and is likely to be somewhere like C:/Documents and Settings/windows login_name/Application Data/SecondLife/Leather Shepherd. Trash that "Leather Shepherd" folder, empty Trash (not necessary, but it's just so satisfying), and then try logging in again to your own account. It will have forgotten all settings, and you'll get to go through the whole process of newbie help dialogs and such, but... I suspect it will work.
If it's buried in the Windows Registry, well... let's just hope not. |

Leather, it's easier for people to track your progress through one thread rather than multiple ones...) Definitely! Folks don't have near as many problems with wireless and SL as they did 1-2 years ago, but I'm sure it contributes a bit to partial asset downloads and such from time to time, which could certainly contribute to a corrupt cache or something similar. |

InSL u find every kind of no-life retard you could possibly imagine as well as a few even Tim Burton couldnt imagine u find 12yr-olds claiming to be 40 men claiming 2 be women, women claiming 2 make sense and every1 claiming 2 have ideas that are actually worth a damn if only someone would just listen to their unique innovative and exceptionally important idea
