a sex club and a STRIP club are two different things. If you have strippers getting naked for cash, your fine. If those same strippers are selling sex as well, then you have to be on adult. In a game that is supposed to be ALL 18+ none of this makes a lot of sense.


I think its against the rules to use LINDEN and logic in the same sentence.... O.o

Personally, I don't have much of a problem with the idea of separating the two, provided they were consistent about it. Things like this doesn't show consistency, but insanity.

If they're going to move sex/nudity advertisements from mature, they should move the actual businesses as well. It makes absolutely no sense to just say "You can sell a bed with sex poseballs provided it is advertised as bed not sex bed."

Of course, the entire situation is absurd to begin with. No wonder everyone is still confused about it.

Though the strip club itself is not "Adult," advertising your strip club makes you adult. "Stripper" is on the list of banned Adult words. Linden Lab sent me the e-mail stating that the strip club I owned had to be moved to Adult land.

Blondin isn't directly lying, but is being disingenuous.

Perfect. Everybody should simply not advertise their strip clubs. What could be more sensible?

Everybody running a grey area business in SL should have taken the free move offer while they had the chance. People starting new grey area businesses should just buy land on Zindra or a private adult region instead of mature. It's not like you are paying Bay City prices for land there.

Experienced residents should know better than what a Linden says in chat isn't gospel. If one cop said it was ok to speed, "many here seem gulliable enough to take it as fact...

Don't take anything Blondin says as proof of anything. All too often he has proven to be dead wrong. Either clueless, out of the loop, or intentionally lying. Take your pick.

Where's this list? Maybe I've missed it? But we were told the only thing we couldn't advertise for our strip club was adult content, for example, sex, f'ing, etc etc, but that stripping itself isn't adult as long as they are just stripping/dancing and nothing sexual, no rl nude pics, etc.

Nothing about this whole "Adult Content" makes sense to me. We're supposed to be 18 years and older on this grid. We even have to check mark a "I am 18, blah, blah" box and give our date of birth.

Better be safe than sorry, since LL is renowned for not communicating with each other. The G-team might not know what Blondin said, for example. Just keep your strip clubs on Adult land and you can at least breath a sigh of relief.

The e-mail didn't tell me exactly what word was Adult. (They want me to move to adult land or take out the word- but oh, we're not going to tell you which word.) I checked the slapt.me list, and the only Adult word that was in the land's description and on the list was stripper.

Can't remember if I usually agree with Raudf very often but I do this time. (Blame it on the a-a-a-a-alchoholol I guzzled when I was 22. If this question of PG etc had been asked at a Linden board meeting one early day concerning the topic and the answer was the above then all would have been fine. You did not "take the offer" as much as applied for the offer. Those gray area businesses as you called them were again subject to which ever Linden decided to take a look. Many were denied land.
