For me, still pretty engaging; I have yet to explore many aspects of this whole thing. This is still my rookie year, and I'm still 'finding my feet' in many ways. Boring? Never yet in my experience. Annoying, frustrating, vexing, mystifying, maybe........but NEVER boring.

Well for me the shininess is restored. I got my openspace sim finished. Met the sweetest guy and found we have a lot in common, so we do just about everything together. We are going to be married soon. So for at least today and probably during the remainder of the week. SLife is very good.

From: Oryx Tempel Just got inspired by The Golden Compass to see if I can try to make some of the kewl stuff there... or maybe it's already out there, in which case, "oooh shiny!" i'm seen the red and gold blimp around, very nice

SL has kind of dried up for me. First it was because I just needed a break and then I just got too busy in RL. I'm finding myself logging in a bit more here and there just to chat with friends, but it will never be the same as it once was.

I am actually surprised that SL has stayed as shiny as it has for so long. I'm the type of person who normally picks up one interest, gets very focused/engaged for a couple of months, and moves on.
I haven't moved on from SL yet. I think that's because my attention within SL has been shifting. For a while it was building, setting up a club; then DJing, and downloading hundreds of songs, running contests.... now I'm back into building, but on a nano-scale, plus have up a shop, and all that entails. Oh... and deep into Tiny Empires too.
All of this with close friendships and socializing built-in, of course.
The close friends I have here, have kept me here... if it weren't for the friends I have made, who knows? But while I'm here, ultimately for my friends, I use SL for my creative outlet. I bounce back and forth between projects, and I guess that has kept me from getting bored with SL overall.
