That is a tore up set of priorities.

I could not don my ass badge either. My boots and my hair were shoved in there so tightly, there simply was no room left. But, on a brighter note, my necklace and earrings followed me all night like obedient little pets all night. Bless their hearts. Off to put pixelated KY on pixelated shoes....

Yes, what is up with that? I hate when they just decide "you know, I like you, but I do not really want to be attached to you this closely" and hop off and start floating along behind you.

Don't blame the new batch of noobs. They don't know any better and who knows some of them might actually stay if we treat them nice (I was helping a number of them last night). Plus don't forget we were all noobs ourselves at some point in time. They already are a step ahead of the game of the traditional noob since they were given nice skins, shapes and hair right off the bat. Oh but they are using a different viewer than the traditional SL user. It will interesting to see how that plays itself out.

Shhhhh! I'm counting on bagging at least another 20 shuffling lag-locked and stunned noobs before they wise up.

Bagging them how?

All I got was a large and intrusive HUD for "playing detective", and a big shiny badge. :(

I dropped by one of them looking to score freebies and got nothing :(

But I got some brilliant boots from the I Am Legend sim!

There is a CSI store in there. You can get CSI branded gear and see some SL props they used in the show. It was kind fun to go there. I don't know why they just didn't give the stuff out for free. I foresee a lot of CSI newbies wondering how they can get that stuff...

... My second impression was that it was form over substance. I wondered if the people who would join SL having had the CSI/SL/ESC introduction would find their Second Life world woefully disappointing ...

You're talking about TELEVISION people. They accept form over substance by default.

Not to mention anyone not having a GIANT computer screen with a remote keyboard is going to be disappointed regardless.

Ohhh...I think calling them a "higher CLASS" might be a bit of a stretch. I mean...Paris Hilton may be cute...but she's still about as classy as a trailer park meth tweaker.

I just saw a CSI avatar newbie at an orgy place! Haha! I guess that's what the detectives do when they're not solving crimes.
