After 2 years of accessing Second Life with this computer I now cannot log in.
"Login Failed"
"Second Life cannot be accessed by this computer"
"If you feel this is an error, please contact support@secondlife.com"
I contacted support@secondlife.com only to be told that that email address is no longer used. (So why offer it as a solution to my problem?).
Can anyone advise me what to do, please? I have already contancted LL via the knowledgebase/support system.

Hate to tell you this but that message is the message commonly used to inform you that the computer you are using has been hardware hash banned. It's possible it's a mistake but no one here can help you.
You'll need to wait on your support ticket response.

There have, I think, been several posts here recently from people who've received that message for no apparent reason (often after a crash) and who've found it resolves itself after a while; /327/bd/357127/1.html was one, and I'm sure there have been others.

The computer is banned according to the hardware "signatures" that are installed in the machine.........much like Microsoft uses to determine if the Windows operating system is being installed on more than one computer at a time.
Like I said in my first post, it could be a mistake. But you'll have to contact LL to get it resolved.
