Does the OP (or anyone else?) still need help?

Adora had some free shapes/skins I think, at least I have taken some male newbies there. I made my shape so I don't really look around for freebie female ones (and there are full perm ones already in my inventory.)

Do you want the freebie shapes/skins from my inventory? The skins are the fairly old ones though. Shy Caramelle anyone?

A Piece of Candy has dollarbie skins in every skin tone, although they didn't look good on my particular shape.

I just remembered, too (ETA) that Savoir Faire has a freebie male shape or skin (or both?) and last I asked, they said they would add a female one also. They often participate in hunts. Their shapes are good stuff. Sorry you got ripped off at $1000 L for a shape, SF's are $500 L for the modify ones I think.

Freebie blogs often have freebie skins and hair as well as clothes/shoes. Also join the DSN showcase. You get sent freebies almost daily in every category you sign up for. Just find their kiosk in world and click and join for free. There's a kiosk on the Forum Cartel Hangout patio.

I'm thinking of opening a shape business but would this SL economy support it and what prices? And what kinds? Thanks anyone. Sorry if that's a threadjack. Just tired of sitting around my land staring at the horizon lately...(I'm not learning to build/script fast enough for my taste. Soo impatient/perfectionistic and it is a boomerang in most things.)

Ok just a warning, her website is good and it has a free skin pack you can download and try to paint.

But if you go to her slurl you land in the ocean. If you fly up it's a big empty box with a ban line around it. So just so you know. She needs to update her slurl or website.

Ok found a different shape for my alt.

I was looking at a free place for some clothes for her and dang that new kit looked real close to what she looked like so got it went back home. Tried it on and YAYAYAY the face was exactly the same in structure and less umm chest, hands seem to be the right size and such. Took before and after pictures of her the one that was 100 and the one that was free asked a few friends and they agreed pretty much the same well on the free one the lips are not as poofy but hey that is just fine, they look well more inline with the face.

Yup I am happy and she is happy lol. And she got a few outfits too.

I'm not sure that a shape business would be all that profitable, unless you have a "gimmick".

For example, one place sells shapes that are based on RL famous people -- Angelina, Marilyn Monroe, Jessica Alba, etc. Another place I know does this too, but sells the complete avatar. Shape, skin, hair, outfit.

Or you could offer an "avatar makeover" service. Spend time with the customer, create a custom shape just for them, take them shopping, put together a whole look. This is very labor intensive, but if you like to shop and like to deal one on one with people it could be a lot of fun.

If you DON'T want to spend a lot of one on one time with the client, you could do it a little differently. Talk with them and get an idea of the look they want, then go do the shopping on your own. Put together the exact shopping list...landmarks, items to buy, prices. Then give that list to the client, along with a bill for your services.

(That would never work for me. I'd spend more money buying stuff for myself than I would make from the client!)
