I thought maybe I should have posted this in Product Requests but it did not seem to fit. I've never been to a professional Sl photographer to test the capabilities of their camera to make it through a photo session of me without cracking. I'm not getting any younger, better get those glammer shots in now.
I want someone who is not afraid to help me pick out the right outfits for the photos, take time to position me, etc. The last thing I want is to be hurried thru and end up with pictures that I'll throw in the Delete can.
Thanks ahead of time for your suggestions. I'll be online almost all day today, would love to have these for my Make A Wish panel.

You could ask Stella Stapleton if she would do it for you. (I'll declare an interest in that Stella is my partner). Stella does a lot of pictures and has a regular spot on Sexy Second ( http://sexysecond.com/blog/) plus a large flickr page ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/stellastapleton/) Suggest you drop her an IM and ask her.

I'm taking down names, too. I've been tossing this idea around for some time, and think I would really like to get some pics done by someone who knows what they're doing. Yes, I'm that vain.......lol. Or, at least my avie is. My RL self is the complete opposite of vain. Funny, that.

Not for me, but for the furniture I build. Any suggestions about this? Do you know if there's a set rate for a photo? Any information will be very appreciated.

Try Arj Friedkien of Netrosanct Studios Both Arj and his partner run Homme magazine, an in-world fashion mag so they're more than used to models, outfits and people new to getting their image taken. The lads also work until you're happy with the pic, post processing in photoshop comes as part of the price, which is always a nice fair price. Plenty to browse in their gallery (including the mag) here's the SLURL http://slurl.com/secondlife/Dahlia%20Island/198/183/21/ Another nice one is Marcello Zanetti, I've not heard from him in a while but I'm sure he's still whizzing around in-world taking photies.

Fascinating work you are doing. I put you as a contact, since it gave me so much joy to look at them I love shooting "myself", just learning and experimenting now since photography is a love of mine in RL. Some of them have come out very well, others, not so much lol. I can learn a lot, by looking at your photos!

Yesterday, I went thru the classifieds, I visited EVERY photographer listed. I found 2 (yes thats two) who were at their studio, 1 was busy taking photos and the other was engaged in hanky panky. It's literally impossible to just go out and get your picture taken. I'm really amazed. Unless you contact someone and make an appointment and go thru red tape you may as well just swing your camera around and do it yourself

i suck at taking picks, but if you are inworld when i get home later today, i'll give it a try. btw.... i have a photography studio i made for personal use, and i will slip you a copy to have for yourself.... i'll make it modifiable so you can add poses and backgrounds to it....you are on your own regarding lighting, however. i don't anything about that beyond the sun settings and face lights. i'll pop inworld right now and send it, but i won't be able to be inworld any longer than that. unexpected big day ahead. oh hey! remember that wonderful backfround FD made of the sity scapes? i have that on it. it's my favorite and still on my desktop even. thanks FD! =)

Lookit all the suggestions!
I have two to add to the list...
Our own Joaz Janus.
And Syn Beresford. Syn's hard to pin down, and will more likely go with your suggestions of clothes and look, rather than make her own. But she does some fantastic things in Photoshop to make you look less SL and more real.

I think most SL photographers view their business as a hobby, even if they have a studio and all. So they're not likely to hang around the studio hoping somebody will drop by.
