It is still in the 80s during the day here, but it gets down into the 60s at night, which is perfect Florida weather. I love this time of year - now if we can get by wih zero hurricanes for the season, I will be happy. The more I learn about you the less I like you. Humidity is already high, temperatures have been in the low 30s (celcius), and doing anything results in sweat. I was sunbaking outside, until I realised I had company (a death adder about 10 ft away). Cyclone season is coming, and the deadly little critters in the ocean(I live on land in the Great Barrier Reef) are coming out in full force..who said they hate winter....swap?

Errrmmm, the last few years it's been hotter in the summer in other parts of the country than FL - and unfortunately in some places that are not prepared for it..ie. places that don't have a lot of homes with A/C. True. Houston is doing the same weather as Florida and it's great. One of my neighbors in the apartment building must have their heat cranked up to a ridiculous level, because during the night my A/C still kicks on every once in a while for a few minutes. I'm sitting here nearly nude and feel fine. Once the A/C stops kicking on at night and I feel compelled to get dressed, I'll have to dig out all the stuff I piled in front of the thermostat and switch to heat. I think I have a couple of weeks before that, though (New Hampshire native and all that). Houston's summer was oddly cool except for a few days because of rain, rain, rain. I think this is the strangeness of the global dimming effect at work, or something. Let's hope Noel is the end of this season o'tropical weather, too. |

Cold, dry, snow flurries expected soon.
I hate/love cold weather. Love Snow for things like Sled Riding, doing donuts, etc. Hate snow for things like Driving with bad tires, shoveling, heating bills, etc. PLUS- my fiancee is stuck walking to work 2 miles each way (we live apart... for now) Where the F**K is global warming???? ![]() _____________________

It's going up to 60ish today here in the NY area, and barely a tree at my home in NJ has shed a leaf. My roses still keep putting out an odd bloom now and then. Pretty strange for this time of year.
Yea, so much for "no global warming"... /me goes looking for Al Gore to give him a big hug and ask how I can help out more! Much as I love my roses, they should NOT be blooming in November in my gardening zone! _____________________

Dang it, I want to see SNOW. I want to live where it snows! And rains! And has trees that change colors! *sniffle* Woe is me for 340 days of sun each year. How boring is that? I prefer to visit those places, lived there once, still miss the fall colors, but I can always go visit. I'd rather never scrape ice off of my windows again or fight the icey ruts on the roads or snow drifts in the streets during rush hour traffic half of the year. I grew up with that, no thanks, give me sunshine, warm golden sunshine. Now that its getting cool up north the weather is great down here, 70-80 F all week. _____________________

grr. its 11C or 52F however you wanna say it up here in Salford (manchester) UK. Its about 3pm and is already going dark!
It has been colder but with the wind on top of that it is a bit nippy. And I gotta walk to and from work! In the dark! Plus, the bosses at work are too stingy to put the radiator on so we are all freezing to death. I no ... im a wimp. I may just go and find somewhere to curl up and turn blue. Hey I could join the smurfs!! lol |
