It's the lava. i wish they had lava on 0ne of them empty dumps! u cant even explore sl. i dont wannabe lagged out but crap sl used to be interesting places in search! now its just dumps linden Lab figures is cool and THEY dont even lurk in them places not even with alts! and fools pay em monies. horrenbek aside allthe placeds are crap _____________________

Seriously tho.....it all depends on what you're interested in. Personally I've checked out quite a few of the Hot Spots and for the most part, it seems to be the artistic/creative quality that makes the hot spot grade. I've thoroughly enjoyed many that I've visited. As for lag......not much lag at all in the places I visited. There's more lag in a busy club full of bling laden wannabees then any of the hot spots.  But, you know....rock on bro.....aint nobody forcing yo azz to visit dem hottie spots.  _____________________

Think of hot spots as Linden Lab's picks. It's whatever they find cool enough to promote -- empty or not. At least I hope that's what it is and not something extra advertising bucks gets you. _____________________

Presumably Mr. Lane is referring to the low population of places found in Search / Showcase on the Hot Spots tab, possibly coupled with finding some of the places kind of dull.
I think the solution to the problem is to not use the hot spot list. There's probably some inworld group that would suit you as a place to ask for cool places to visit. The Forum Cartel group might work for that purpose. I'm wondering if there's a way to use Snapzilla to get info something like how many snapshots sent for a certain parcel or something similar. _____________________
