I'm at the point where I'm surprised if I don't get 2 or 3 im's a day asking for money. I hate the ones that try to make you feel guilty or mean when you say no. A friend you know well asking to borrow a few $L is one thing and between the 2 friends and acceptable. Asking a complete stranger you've never so much as said hi to for money to buy a new outfit is complete bullshit, and shows a total lack of class or manners.

This remnids me of years ago someone ran an ad in a newspaper that said ,"Surprise Send me $1.00" to PO Box.... Well that person made alot of money and since he didnt offer anything in the ad except surprise for that $ there was nothing anyone could do.

So according to SL's own numbers just think if everyone gave him 1L...

I'm involved in an SL combat system called "Combat: Samurai Island" and we often just say "CI" for short. I get requests like this from time to time, and every once in a while I'll send someone a freebie just because I'm in a good mood.

But there's no such thing as a CI uniform, and I don't particularly care for beggers, so after a little thought I decided to ignore it. I didn't realize till just now that it was a mass-spam thing.

I simply tell them to look at my profile (where it says "I AM NOT A CASH MACHINE. DO NOT ASK ME FOR L$", copy that quote, and mute them.

I have no time for beggers.

I will often, depending on my mood an time, jes say "you can get more lindens by clicking the blue box with the L$ on it in the upper right of your screen." I did with this person, even -- even though I did send an AR because, at the same time, I had to assume it was mass spamming.

I have had casual acquaintances ask me for a few lindens for this or that. I usually do not even respond to those requests, and have defriended people who have asked. It really is easy enough to get Lindens if you need them without resorting to begging -- and there is nothign you *need* that is worth begging for, IMO.

I went looking for a specific skintone and found one that worked just about perfectly - for 500Ls...

so I figured Id camp for the cash, shouldn't take more than a week or so.

Got a tip from one of my freebie groups - one that I found checking out the posts here (thanks a million!!) to go check out a spot and wouldn't you know - there was a skin with the identical tone based on some of Eloh's skins for 25Ls - I even got a compliment on it lol!!

anyway - I suppose I'm just rambling since a bot isn't about patience, but people need to take their time and look around a bit, unless the lindens are burning holes in your pockets.
