Yeah but I think Colette's point is that that's the last thing the Inland Revenue wants. Regardless, given LL's desire to comply and the amount of VAT they've sucked up already, I can't see them upping sticks and leaving because the IR demands they refund customers for VAT illegally charged over a single month period.

The Inland Revenue and Trading Standards would basically get a flogging in the national press if they weren't seen to abide by the law and protect the consumer's rights in this case.

Depends on how much money - theres three possibilities being thrown around here

One is that they would only have to pay the one month.

Another is theyd have to pay forever without charging the Euros more.

And the third is theyd have to pay all the way back to 2003.

The second two - theyd pull up stakes.

The First one - I guess depends on how much the 2-3 months they suppodely paid has cost them.

Would the media really make such a big deal about an obscure computer game some Europenas are playing.

I mean we make big deals about the numbers sure - but 10 million having tried it and less than 1 million staying WORLDWIDE is kinda of a puny amount of people in the big picture.
