any grid problems for others?

Beware of the grid problems. So far this morning I've had problems paying objects, moving around, teleporting, viewing profiles, and client disconnects. i am now staring at the login progress bar that refuses to log me back in. Anyone else experiencing issues in the such? It interrupted a very important gathering i had going on.

Yes!!! Two nights in a row now, starting at about midnight SL time, we've experienced sim crashes on several different sims, some people have lost their business (as in, stuff just disappeared), and logins have been difficult.

As a matter of fact, yesterday, I had to re-install the SL viewer twice within a few hours. It couldn't find some device manager.

Definitely noticed a loss of performance over the weekend. Many Sims were
dark red (offline), and places (Class 5 islands) I know that are almost always
lag free were lagging...like when you hold your forward arrow key down and
the AV walks like it's in wet cement.

Last time I remember something similar happening was when there was
some network switching hardware problems.

At this very minute i cannot log into SL as it only reaches 1 inch of the progress bar and halts for about 15 minutes. I was in the middle of a very important conference with a old friend about sim management issues, now I'm locked out till whatever happened fixes it's self.

i was able to get back in, just in the middle of a water sim now... Was one heck of a crash. And now I'm ruthed... ;p

Ya I logged in this morning, saw my av, and crashed to desktop.. Gotta love that...

Haven't tried to log in yet, but it's Monday morning in SL land and the Lindens will back to work in a few hours.

It's all downhill from here. LOL

this weekend i have seen two sims (there are reportedly more) that are NOT offline, but you cannot see them from a neighboring sim. all you see is water and empty sky.

you can simply walk or fly into them (sometimes even teleport to them), and they will appear, but i do NOT recommend this. i was speaking to a woman who owned such a sim, and she said that going into these 'bermuda triangles' could cause inventory loss. not stuff in-world (though it's questionable if this "vanishment" will or wont cause prim loss), but stuff in YOUR personal private inventory.



another thing i've seen is teleports from event notices or landmarks failing, but teleports using the same landmark shown on the map DO work. (though if it's going to zap you into a middle of an invisible sim and delete all your inventory, you prolly don't want to go.)

I keep getting "failed - cannot connect to version manager" whenever I try to login - happens on the normal (Mac) client and the release candidate.

Yup..I keep getting cannot connect to version manager yet an hour ago I was connecting fine. But then again I did crash three times in an hour.

One thing irking me right now is regional handoffs. I am working on a few islands connected right now and every time I fly into the next sim, I keep flying for 40 seconds. Sometimes logged out, sometimes end up where I should have been, and then lag out.

I think they're still recovering from this weekends grid attack...

Whatever it is they need to get something out to tell us they are working on the problem. They do this every time and everyone gets annoyed with them and start shouting and screaming.

I see "unable to connect to version manager", when I try to login.

Same here....been trying to connect for the past 2 hours now.

I logged out a hour ago, went to go do something else. Currently in EQ. ;p It's old but more stable.

A little slow on the log in... Fushida was being a pain, so I primly teleported to Limbo, where upon, I had no problems until they became a bit crowded.

Rezzing is a bit hit or miss, so too is texturing multi-prims. Gah, drove me crazier, but I'll get over it.

All weekend I kept freezing; couldn't walk, turn, type in chat or IM window and my friends list only showed "waiting" on it instead of my "friends" names. The only thing that made them show on my list was just to send an IM to "waiting" and then the names would show up properly!!!!!
I am sick of the problems in this damn game!!!!!!

Why won't the just FIX IT???????????? I just don't get it??? This game has been around for years and it just keeps getting worse n worse as far as grid problems and performance! It's ridiculous!!

I’ve had so many client disconnects that talking to myself has become a serious problem… I started answering.

Seriously, something got the Lindens jumpy and they deployed some anti-griefing measures that ended up crashing sims yesterday.

They are trying… but overall a very bad weekend.
