I've had enough.

I've had enough of people lying to me, betraying me. I've had enough of people calling themselves friends but are never there when you need them.

I've been lied to, betrayed, and abandoned enough times in SL and I can't deal with it anymore. My RL is no different and I can't handle this fucking stress anymore.

Uh, PG forum, and also, how does this fall under the heading 'resident answers'?

If you are this stressed, call a local crisis hotline, perhaps, or someone you can talk to in person/by phone. A game forum isn't a great place to try to get emotional support, though sometimes it happens.

Well hopefully you don't give in at real life so easily after only 6 months........

OP. we have been down this road before, no? You really need to seek professional RL help in this matter or we will be going over this again and again. Only you hold the key to your troubles. Please seek the help you need in places that might actually be able to provide it. The last time we went 15 pages to a locked thread without success. Sigh. Good Luck finding the help you need.

Sometimes this can be par for the course in SL... I'd suggest viewing SL as being a bit like a computer game - and to not invest emotionally in the "other characters" - even if you do make friends in SL, you are not really making friends with the whole person, just an extreme edit of what they want to portray... so there isn't a great deal of point...

Focus on RL is my advice. Do things that make you happy. If you find yourself stuck for ideas... think back to the things you used to do that made you happy - and do them again. I'd never suggest seeking "professional advice" - you know you best, and you know what is best for you.

Cassandra, I hope you didn't choose your name on purpose. Because, sheesh. Again? I don't want to be mean, but I've managed to never get "betrayed" or "lied to" or anything else nasty while here...and certainly not after repeated cries for help to the fora. Ignore the dude who advised no "professional help." You need some. NOW.

I didn't bother. Honestly either way it seemed fair to suggest she get some help. I don't think I participated in the other thread. I vaguely recall reading it after it was locked - part of it, anyway.

I suppose laziness won out over the unlikelihood the same person would return with the same tactics. Plus the 'feminist thread' was taking most of my attention.

My memory is fairly good, when it cares about a topic enough to bother noticing detail in the first place.

With your RL difficulties - any help you need will be found in RL.

With your SL difficulties - why not join the SLProfiles site and post a long blog about your troubles on there? That's what lots of other people do!

The thing is, you don't need this thread, this thread is just a way of dragging your feet. It chains you to your chair, waists the time you could be using to change your life for the better.
