I saw it the first time, and I have no clue. My first guess is X2 but not quite.

Looking at the lipstick on that mouth... that might be one of Minnu's skins....

yuck forums are messing with me again, at least my comment came through

why not ask the person wearing the skin where they got it (or it is an ad, as the ad maker where the skin came from)

unless it was a passing person whom you had no chance to ask :(

Minnu is involved in a bit of scandal right now, concerning improper use of another person's work. That skin may not be available at all if it is hers.

I don't know. The face is very beautiful, but the torso and arms both seem to be vastly different colors from it! Definitely needs a demo....

going by the color of the sky and water behind them, looks like they used some wacky lighting settings, so the skin may not look anything like that in your light settings

Hmm, I still can't see it. Not sure why. I get a "Cannot find server" "The page cannot be displayed" message.

Edited note: Any ideas on how to fix would be appreciated. ;)

That skin is by Redgrave. I believe its their "Scarlet" (the little mole on the face like Scarlet Johannsson's).

Just in case you're wondering.. the eyes are also Redgrave and the hair is by Aden and called "Annyka". (I make avatars so I shop a lot and recognize them).

I bought a Redgrave Skin. Looked fab in the picture. Looked fab in the demo, which I tried on in the shop. So I bought the skin. When I got home - I was orange from the neck down!! Can only assume lights in the shop made a huge difference.

Moral. Buy demo, then go home, or to where you usually hang out and see how it looks there.

also go to your preferences and turn off local lighting, use sun and moon only and try different sun settings (ie, noon, midnight, etc) to see how it looks without facelights, or room lights and at different times of the day

This is the problem with facelights, or body lights... they hide a crappy skin.

Facelights are completely unneccesary now that Windlight can be used to eliminate almost 100% of BAD poly shading and render a skin as it is seen in the original flattened texture. A well designed skin will hold up on it's own without the aid of lighting (which often focuses only on the face), or other environmental settings.

I would guess the image in the OP was either shot with a facelight or went through post production in Photoshop (or similar), or... is simply just not the same color between head and upper body.

I completely disagree, Namssor..

Even in Windlight, the lighting will often cast one's face into shadow. Even deeper shadow than the old, flat lighting we used to have. Plus, the avatar mesh hasn't changed...it's still blocky.

A facelight that looked good in the pre-WL days is likely wrong for Windlight. But a soft, subtle, facelight still gives a marked improvement.

I am *so* glad somebody who indisputably knows what they're talking about says facelights are unnecessary with good skins and WindLight. I freely admit that I, in contrast, know nothing, but "I know what I like" and facelit skins look strange to me in almost all WindLight conditions. (I wouldn't expect avid facelighters to dim their enthusiasm, but at least I'm happy to know my facelight aversion isn't independent confirmation of insanity.)

Arguably, you'd never notice the good facelights. But when people are walking around in a 7-foot light pool, with their face washed out by the over-bright white, it's not about looking *good*, but merely about being seen.
