Engagement proposal places

Hi Folks

OK, some may think this is a strange question, but I want to propose to my gf and thought it would be good to draw on the knowledge of the SL community about some of the best places that people have come across, to do such a special act.

Looking for a 'magical' places that will make this a really special time, but I would love to look at any places that people may think is worth looking at.

So thank you for any advice/input....and not the type...'don't do it man its a mugs game'...LOL

I proposed in Sinner's Paradise in front of the amazing waterfalls there.. It was perfect.

This is what i did:

I picked up a very nice dinner table for 2. And i set it up very very nicely with all the things you would want to give to someone you loved or cared deeply for.

Good things to use: Champagne sitting in an ice bucket on a stand, pretty roses, box of open chocolates, pretty engagement ring to set out, etc.

I used our own place as the setting which was at the time the aft deck of a 167m yacht.

There are lots of pretty places in SL for such a thing, but for me, it was more important to create the setting i wanted, to relay the feelings i wished to express.

I have no doubt that you will get a lot of positive replies and suggestions.

I hope she says YES!

Sorry if this question is redundant but do you have an idea where she likes to go or where she hangs out at? Might give me an idea to recommend an appropriate place to visit. Thanks in advance.

I second what Briana said - MAKE a special place. You could rent a 512 on a lovely mountaintop, beach or whatever you like, set it up with a little scene that suits both your tastes. Eliminates the chance of having some bozo show up uninvited too

You can also achieve the personal touch in a public setting, though -- I was proposed once to in the Lost Gardens. What made it special was that all that night we had been trying to go there - to dance I thought - but the sim was full. My friend - get this - IM'd Dane Zander (who created the sim). Dane opened the sim for 2 minutes, TP'd us directly to where my friend wanted to propose, gave wellwishes and poofed! You have to love SL.

I think it should be somewhere personal and special to the 2 of you, where you've been together, where you've had an amazing experience before, where you 'connect'. Doing something you've done before in a place that's special already to you both. Not a new place where you don't already have a personal feel for. That's how I'd like to be proposed to, anyway.

If you want to down on one knee to say the magic words, there are pose balls for that. There used to be a set at Moonglow Ballroom, but I don't know if they are still there. ( or you can buy a set - I guess they come from Bits and Bobs. )

They have some innocent name that doesn't indicate their purpose. It often amused me to see some poor guy leading a girl there expecting it to be a dance or a cuddle, and finding to his surprise that he was on one knee proposing to her.

nothing makes you move faster than when you realise what you have just done!!!

You can propose there and we have fireworks !! I'm at work, see my pics for sim location. You will land at our ballroom but the proposal site is across the river. You will love it. Turn to midnight so you both can see the fireworks and we have the pose balls.

Search Nimue Isle. Nice, quiet and understated. Afterward you can go low prim furniture shopping for the happy couple's new home at Nimue's lovely store.
