** Falls over laughing at the terminology but QFT!

Try Zulu time.

Noon Sl is still too far alien for most europeans . anywhere from -2 to +2 hours.

Z=the winnah.

Noon SLT means an 8pm start for those of us on GMT, and even later for the rest of Europe, except Spain and Portugal. Most US-friendly SL parties kick off at 8pm SLT, so there's no difference, relatively speaking. 8pm is 8pm, regardless.

Thats a 12 hour diffrence.

GMT = Z.

Great for the UK the rest of Europe is a best guess.

I meant relatively speaking. No point trying to explain. I'm too tired and honestly can't be arsed. Have a good one.

Well, that was helpful!

OK! We've got some volunteers for the party, but unless someone comes up with some ideas, the theme will likely be something like Grapefruit or Mongooses, and y'all are gonna have to suck it up.

Janee and I spoke very briefly last night and thought 'punk' might be a good one that we could all attempt an outfit for :D

Ty and welcome to the party-planning-group Wooooooooooot

Let´s expand the motto a bit to "Punk and Brit Pop"... too much Punk could be unbareable for some people lol and yes, Claire... that means we can play Sex Pistols n Stuff :-))))

Volunteers so far are:

Aebleskiver Thibedeau
Olivia Nostram
Skell Dagger
Rhianna Larkham
Claire Silverspar

We need more blokes !!! (or do you want us to carry all the heavy things ???? ;-) )
And we definitely need a DJ...

Anyone out there ?

You are welcome to have the party at any of our venues on Etopia...we have been wanting to have more euro scheduled events, but have not found people who are willing to host them etc....Come on down! We have beaches, huge community center that spans two sims, concert stage, bandshell and a romantic dancefloor...you pick and just im me in world to let me know which one and when and we can help you make it happen.

I would say that I am interested, but that might put a dampener on things . . .

And I am not sure what use I could be, except to invite my lengthy list of UK contacts - I would of course hesitate to call them friends - who I am sure would love to meet even more people with cultural similarities, as well as potential availability for social intercourse at hours not requiring matchsticks inserrting in eyelids.

Can we have a list of banned conversational topics though, such as "Eastenders" and the rubbish summer we have had?

Pep (Once went into the original "Sex" boutique in Kings Road in the 70s and asked if they sold safety pins)

I would offer Janee, but I get into trouble for sexism as it is . . .
