ok thanks guys. I've got a little mickey mouse carriage clock in the office corner near the pc. Think I'll just set it for San Francisco time. I always remember west from here is behind time and east from here is plus time, I'll just google Frisco time occasionally and set the clock accordingly with regard to +/- hour daylight savings.

It's not the time that stuffs me around, it's the day. Here, in delightfully warm and sunny, eastern Australia, we're currently 19hrs in front of SLT. It's not uncommon for me to attend a function, a day early.

Thank you, for ushering in, our tomorrow! :)

I can't remeber who switches first this spring.

The rest of the world switched forward a little earlier this year. It was the first time I noticed that happens. I can't be sure if clocks will be reset in that order come the Spring but it would seem to be the logical consequence that Murka will slip another hour behind for a week or whatever.

For the time being, the OP is eight hours ahead of PST/SLT. I think the confusion is partly due to time being referenced as PST in the client even though residents understandably refer to SLT as a common time zone. The Lindens would do well to change this even though SLT means the same thing as PST.

One thing you can do on Vista (and later) that might help is add a second time zone so you'll see the local time and SL time if you hover your mouse over the clock in the lower right corner (or if you give the clock there a left click).

(Left click the clock in the lower right corner, "Change date and time settings" / "Additional Clocks" tab, check "Show this Clock" and pick GMT-8 Pacific Time and done :)).

Or if you're fond of the gadget sidebar you can just add an extra clock there and set it to show SLT.

Not sure what you mean by 'evole', but here is a map of countries that use daylight savings time: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:DaylightSaving-World-Subdivisions.png

*evil*

pretty soon there will be no time other then DLST. What happens to us next. It feels like every year they take another month away from us.
