goatse grief problem

So the other day this douchebag decides to hand me and the other locals a texture of GOATSE. Thus it was thrusted upon me. I am even more aware of what the inside of a rectum looks like.

Anything you can do to keep them from popping up?

Just what do you mean by hand you a texture?

If you are seeing textures on particles, you can turn particle display off in several places.

And this is why I have particles turned completely off.

It sounds like the texture was given to you as an inventory transfer, correct? And when you hit the "Keep" button, the texture automatically displayed, correct?

Next time, look at the next button labeled "Discard". It won't pop up or even show up in your inventory.

Even better, the third button, if I remember correctly, is "Mute", which takes care of a multitude of problems all at once.

But, the basic question, I think, is how to keep accepted textures (and notecards, too, I've noticed with the latest viewer) from automatically opening and appearing on screen when accepted or copied from a box's contents, etc.

Probably somewhere in the Preferences, I would imagine. I've been too lazy yet to find it and turn it off.

It's a sort of companion image to tubgirl.

In SL, it's one of the grotesque images one sees displayed as particles in the massive replicating objects emitting particles griefer attacks that do so much to spoil SL and, I suspect, help to keep the customer retention rate as low as it is.

All the people I've gotten to try SL left due to offensive content such as that and never went back.

Shhhh don't let PN find out they have Bill Cosby, Mario and the Ninja Turtles planned as their flagships for another decade yet.
