Serious question although it may sound silly, how do you get rid of the cow tongue? There's no slider for it in the appearance window. I thought it may be my clothing causing it and it's there no matter what I change into. I can't really say whether or not all female avatars have it because I'm not really looking either. There must be some setting I am overlooking. I don't remember it being there before either...it just appeared in the past couple of months I think. Did the Lindens change the mesh any??
So anyway, any help is appreciated. Until then, I'll just wear prim skirts.

I thought you were giving away some delicious cow parts for me to eat!
/me is a bit disappointed, and wanders off to forage elsewhere.

A good way to look up slang terms is to put, for example,
cow tongue urban dictionary
into Google.

~MGZ IF it is what comes up in the urban dictionary, then it will be to do with the skin, not the shape sliders try a different skin and see if you still see it the same way

Prolly camel toe.. lolz. If the OP was talking about trying different clothing, then their concern is with how it's shaped through the clothing.. so it can't be skin and has to be shape. Some clothes minimize that with texture, but I'm fairly positive it's there for good. Maybe I'll start a 'sisters of the blessed cow tongue' group.

Well.....LOL No matter how the skin is painted.....it's going to go over the mesh, which is a finite shape. But....seeing as the issue is one that happens underneath clothing...probably the simplest way to fix it would be to use the clothing sliders (only gonna work for pants tho) and add a little more bagginess to the crotch area.

From: Looli Vella Yeah... I did that but since avatars don't have vaginas, it didn't shed any light. It helped me a good bit. When I first read it I thought it meant something about an avatar tongue.

I did, too, until MadameG mentioned skirts. Unless she meant she was going to pull her skirt up over her head to take care of the problem! ;p
FWIW, I haven't noticed I've had a problem with camel toe. Perhaps the solution in SL as in RL is to loosen your pants at the crotch?

That weird notch that passes for anatomical correctness has been there all along, it does show up a little worse at some angles :/ The pants looseness slider seems to accentuate it unless you go for super baggy.

Elephant ears...

OK, so things are definitely wacky. I *did* have rather blocky nethers this evening, way more than I have ever noticed.
And it wasn't just that, my round glasses were squarish and I was chewing bubblegum and the bubbles I blew were dodecahedrons (or some other polyhedron, it's not like I counted the sides) instead of spherical.
A ways back I noticed things getting blockier, someone posted about it here, too... but now I wonder if it doesn't have to do with playing with sliders in preferences. I'm not going back in to check, anyone know for sure?

I think you have just started a new urban slang term.. I'm going to start saying cow tongue from now on. 5 years ago who ever heard of camel toe? lol

/me would rather eat cow tongue than camel toe. But somehow I get the impression that's not really literally what you people are talking about!

I did try adjusting the pants to loosen them around the crotch a bit as suggested. But to be honest, I'm not sure which is worse, having camel toe or looking like you've got a jungle growing down there. You can't wear a bikini or panties and make them fit loose in the crotch unless you just want it to look like you haven't waxed or shaved in a couple of years!! Male avatars have the coin purse option so why can't wee have a camel toe slider?? I mean there's even two sliders to adjust the dimple in the chin. I demand a camel toe slider. Some females don't want it indented, they want a nice smooth flat or rounded area...or something
