I have found tons of places for tramp wear, prom dresses, gothic lolita and tons and tons of ripped low rise jeans. I am looking for something a little more comfortable. Jeans and T-shirt like. I want to say something with a better quality than the jeans and t-shirts that you find everywhere. I may be a bike dyke but I want to look good. I want a flannel shirt with the detail and quality of a Nickey Rae gown. My favorite jeans are still ones that came from the library. Male musician IIRC. They look real and lived in but they don't come all the way up. Does anyone make jeans that come all the way up and have seems that match front and back?

I thought Shiny Things was just a shoe store. I will have to go look and see what they have.

that would be great. I'm not finding things on my own. Using search in SL is ok if you know the name of a place it it won't find out where stuff is.

You get what you look for. (^_^)

Even Bare Rose has some pretty decent 'every-day' wear. (^_^)y

I'd like to add Fri.day to the list. They have really good hair and everyday wear and accessories there that won't break the bank.

We had a jeans thread just recently...

I'd second the recommendation for RBZ - I have a 5-pack of jeans, on pants and underpants layer (great for boots) and I wear them all the time.

Also Robin (Sojourner?) Wood's Avatar Shop. (While you're there, pick up a pair of the barefoot stockings, which will fix the problem of flesh-colored inner pantlegs. Can't recommend them highly enough!)

And look up Kaimi Kyomoon (a forum poster here) her store is in her Picks. I think it's named 'Normal Wear' which is what you're looking for, eh?

May I suggest Artilleri. It's not the biggest selection, but what they have is good. Link to their shirts with great detail: http://artilleri.blogspot.com/2009/04/new-artilleri-2x-mens-shirts-hair-and.html

Their Jeans are pretty good too, and not low rise. A shop like Maitreya might look like just too "fashonista", but their "Boyfriend jeans" can be casual or feminine. http://sl-maitreya.blogspot.com/2009/06/new-releases.html

COCO's "Bomber jacket" is great IMHO. She makes them in brown and black. Both male and female versions. http://cocorolemon.blogspot.com/2009/09/new-release-coco-homme-flight-jacket.html

Aoharu sell great jackets and vests. If you want the tougher look, buy the male version. You must check that it's still modify, I was able to mod their black jeans jacket to fit my avatar, average SL female height. I am never the tallest or the shortest female avatar in a crowd. Jacket shown to the left. The jeans aren't available, the designer has left SL I think.

Details on what else I'm wearing here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/27764102@N02/3658457278/

ARGACE

I didn't see them mentioned. They have some really nice quality men's and women's clothes, plus lots of hats.

Deetalez

They might be a bit too "fashion whore", but some of their stuff is okay (both men's and women's clothes).

Thanks everyone for the help.
If this works right it should show about what I am after.

I got the long, tucked in shirt from WRONG. The pants from league. also got the garage shirt form there but not wearing it here. The jackets I had already are from AHOUA or some such. I forget the name exactly.

Marianne, those pants are cool. I like the shoes too.

Clover, Duck Nipple? lol. Great name, I will have to go see what's there.

Jig, average as in normal clothes. Stuff I would wear every day like. In real life. Not fancy clothes or hooker-barbie clothes. There is nothing wroing with that and I like looking and all but that's just not me. You know?

Yes, I am familiar with that store, Dino. Is it yours?

BTW Thanks for mentioning the place. I liked the look of their jackets a lot, but didn't buy any because I really don't care for rigid sculpted clothes (the natural movement thing.. me being anal again). It's all good though because I found a few great tops and vests that I can work with. :)

Look in some of the retro malls and shops - there is a retro mall that has a shop with great flannel shirts for women, bowling shirts, etc. Some other people have mentioned some really good basic clothes places too, such as Nyte 'n Day. I also have to say Bare Rose because they have almost everything.

P.S. Also, join DSN - you get free stuff. You can delete or decline what you don't want, but I've gotten some really good jeans that way. Free.
