Hello Again,

I'm really quite liking this whole forum thingy ma gij, it's like IM, but you don't lose the conversation when closing a window.

This post is about themed sims,in particular, Adult rated fantasy forests.

Very much like The Elven Forest, Fay ground, chakryn etc etc, now fi there was a forets of equal (or even just different) value, the maybe offered a few residential (themed) home, such as hills or tree houses. With various hidden places and objects to find, places that were easily identifiable as "hang out areas" or even if it was just thickly wooded and had poses and the like.

Would you be interested in ti and visit on a regular basis,

also, would you tip it if you did find it was one of you more frequented places of interest.

Keep in mind, that if you simply aren't interested in forests at all ... Well, answering may seem pointless, unless you have a point =P.

Well, I don't know about "frequenting" it on a regular basis, but I certainly like to visit lovely sims in SL.

Go to 'File > Preferences > Communication' and check 'Save a log of IM on my computer' and you won't lose track of IMs either. The previous conversation with another avatar will be greyed out but readable when you open a new IM with them. For a detailed history, you can pull the entire log of exchanges with that avatar by going to 'Application Data > SecondLife > agatha_udimo' and finding the text document with his/her/its name.

As for an 'Adult' Forest, sure - so long as it has rez objects permission and visitors aren't obliged to wear green tights or fly wings and magic dust style bling. But be aware there already are one or two Jungle/Forest themed bonking bayous in SL.

I had an alt that lived in a Tolkienesque fantasy forest in a hillside full of caves. It was VERY relaxing and I would ride my horse through the woods, half hoping to meet up with a dryad or some such.

Then a noisy dragon moved in to the cave just above mine even though all the rest of them were empty, and its tail would penetrate my roof and hang down into my living room. Now this might have been a great opening for interesting role play, but I found I wasn't up to it and so moved out.

So my suggestion is if you want to do residential homes, give visitors the option of renting for a week at a time so it becomes more of a vacation spot. I have no idea how this stacks up for business, but from my point of view it's more appealing.

As for the adult nature, I would be less likely to visit and tip often if it is blatantly about sex. For me it would need to be about the fantasy forest, with maybe a little stuff going on behind the waterfall but not in your face. I used to visit Dinosaurs Park often and tipped every time. I should probably go back -- it's been a while.

I find fantasy stuff a bit boring, and wouldn't be interested in the adult stuff, but I love good forest sims. So, actually, the more pristine the forest, the more I'd visit. But that's probably just me.

I would visit the forest. Not for the 'adult' thing, but just because I like forests. :)

By "adult fantasy", would this be like Snow White doing the seven dwarfs? What exactly are we talking about here?

I might visit just to check out the build. Particularly if it was unique in any way.

Btw, this is a great response to your seeing a sim that is almost, but not quite, what you think is ideal. Get a sim and show the world how it should be done!

lol!

god you guys crack me up, ok .. let me break it donw so we don't get confused,

Fantasy : Old style mythical creatures, such as fae, Dryads, Elves, Dragons, Giants etc

Adult : Simply so, if someoen shoses to be naked, they cna infact have prim "bits" on display, of course, erections would be kept under wraps for the second part, also, so if people chose, they could be intimate. Keep in mind simply because somehtign is adult does not mean ti has to be some crazy orgy sex palace. Think intimate, romantic, beauty, not ... Crack Whoar.

Forest : Well it's quite self explanitory, just somewhere beuatiful, completly surrounded by nature, as for the homes, there would be a maximum of ten and these would be nowhere near one another, as to keep the whole "Forest" alive and not over crowded with too many intrusive buildings etc.

The sim wouldn't be strictly Role Play so ther wouldn't be any combat systems, you wouldn't be obligated to dress for the occasion, although I'd probably encourage it just to make you feel more ... uhm, themed up?

anywho's, I hope that cleared up any confusion.

xx

What's a forest without Trolls!!?

Honestly, any mythical creature from pre technology society would fit in perfectly.

Or don't pack homes together that closely.

For me it would depend on the meaning of adult here.

If my naked faun avatar can enjoy herself there, and openly 'entertain' - then I'd be more likely to go there than if it was a place full of people running around with combat HUDs.

So mature.

Not adult.

I probably wouldn't go then.

Especially if the owner of it has that negative of an attitude towards people who enjoy adult content in SL.

First, you forgot the pie option. :-)

I've very much enjoyed visiting places like Chakryn Forest and its ilk, but I would not be interested in an "adult" forest. I'm sure other SLers might.

As for the OP's question: I love SL forests; fantasy forest is even better, but I'm not interested in Adult.

The forest of Kahruvel is beautiful and has an intriguing backstory (you can read more at Salazar Jack's blog: http://web.mac.com/salazarjack/Site/Welcome.html). The Lost Gardens of Apollo has some wonderful forested areas. It's romantic but no nudity allowed.

hey hey peeps,

Good to hear the feed bakc so far, and Pussy, My attitude isn't negative at all towards it, if anythign I'm the firts person in this thread to openly admit she's a horn dog for adult sims.

My meaning behind the "no erections unless you're sexing it up" is simply out of pure courtesy, by all means, if you're horny, if you're perving on other avitars, if you're playing with yourself ro having sex, have a stiffy. But just keep it in context, because while sure, you cna be naked in mature, some people want to od more, and other want to do much more. so really it's just a mtter fo either, finding that balance, or not interacting with someoen who doesn't want a hard penis / wet vagina in their face.

LOL and no way, ears and tales would be welcome

I dunno. I like cybersex. And I like fantasy. Somehow, the two just don't seem to go together in my mind.

If it was me doing it, I'd build on Mature land. But I'd allow any permanent residents to have sex poses/furniture in their homes.

As for "tipping the place"... probably not, but it depends on the setup.

If a location has shops and homes that they rent out, then I figure THAT is how they are making their tier. I may patronize the merchants there, but I won't directly make a donation to the sim owner.

If a place is obviously a scenic venue intended for relaxation and exploration, then yes, if I like the place, I'll make a donation. A *small* donation. After all, I probably spent an hour there, tops. You might get 50 or 100L from me. If there is any sort of live entertainment...a docent giving tours, or a troll in his cave trying to eat me...then they may get a tip from me. If there is a Thing To Do...a quest, or a scenic ride in an elven boat, or a maze to navigate and solve...and there's a donation jar there, the attraction might get a small tip.

On a practical note, a fantasy forest is going to take a LOT of prims. This means that there will probably not be a lot of prims left over for tenants, which means that you may have a difficult time offering enough rental spaces (either residential or commercial) to cover your tier.
