The computer I am currently using crashes every time I take a picture. This is occuring with 4 different viewers, Snowglobe, standard viewer, Emerald, and Nicholaz BE-V. I tried both methods, ctrl` and ctrl-shift-s. I have also tried removing the hi res option.
System specs:
Acer Aspire X1200 AMD Sempron dual core processor 2.2 Gz 3GB Ram Vista Home Premium 32 bit nVidia GeForce 8200
Anyone have any ideas of a work around? Sl runs fine until i try to take a pic.

Do you get as far as specifying where it goes? If not maybe it's something to do with that.
Well, that's a coo-coo idea, but anyway, someone with sense will be along, heh.

From: Damien1 Thorne No immediately crashes before save screen comes up. I have the same issue from time to time. A reboot usually solves it.

From: Damien1 Thorne No immediately crashes before save screen comes up. I get that at times, but nothing consistent. I take my photos to drive, 4000x3000 jpeg @ the highest resolution. Is that similar to your save format? Another thing you might try is save to email option that puts them on Snapzilla where you may then right click save them out of world.

Did ya update the video drivers? I'm not even kidding, because it can effect uploads and downloads in SL too.

Damien I am sure that you know this, but for anyone reading along with your same problem, "Alt Printscreen" and then "paste" into photoshop is one kludgey workaround... I've had issues similar to this before but they mysteriously cleared up.

The answer to your problem lies with the edata management suite that comes pre-installed with your Acer machines. Only option is to not install it or uninstall it and all will work properly. See this thread: /111/a5/270741/1.htmland in this Jira towards the bottom where I posted the answer. https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-7264Damien, if this resolves your problem can you post back, this issue is quite old and it still means that it has not really been resolved as Acer continue to prepackage that software and still conflicts with SL.

@Argus: will look into the email option.
@Raudf: Updated them yesterday.
@Desmond: Using Vista's snipping tool now for pics.
@Larrie: I saw the thread mentioning that problem so I did remove it from the startup.
Thanks for the suggestions.

I have seen this come up a time or two but all the searches come up with several threads all with the exact same problems and no solution given.
Sorry, Damien, I wish it was better news. But then you have probably already looked through the same threads as I. It looks like a reoccurring problem but not wide spread enough to get the attention it needs for a bug fix.
