Has anyone ever had their shape change without them changing it?

I put on shoes today that I made, using the same body shape I was wearing when I made the shoes

however, the shoes had the ankle showing through the side of the shoe... which it did not do before...

I got some people to help me by putting on the shoes, looked fine on them, one of them gave me her shape, and looked fine using that shape sooooo
I started messing with my many different shapes (from that one shape).. (I make my own shapes and do it in stages)

anywho... there is a few of this specific shape that the only changes I made were to the head (eyes, mouth, nose etc)... and lo and behold, on the one I was wearing, somehow the body thickness was increased (thus increasing the ankles)...

anywho ever had that happen to them? (shape changes on it's own so it seems)

Sometimes when you would get Ruthed your numbers would change to Ruth's

I don't know if that can happen anymore though.

actually I am not a big fan of pie, so it's not that... weird totally (and that seemed to be the only number that was fubared... weird weird

Could not resist the temptation to add pie to a thread today. Honestly though, the ankles and wrists have always been so bad. Plus I hate that little seam or whatever it is that shows up under breasts in certain poses. I have been able to tweek it away to some extent, and am careful in my choice of poses, but as a novice shape maker (just for myself), I would appreciate advice or tricks regarding this issue.

My body thickness occasionally looks to be maxxed out. Relogging seems to fix it. I first asked about it here a couple years ago, so it's been happening for a while.

I can only think of one thing that has changed without me doing it.

When I have my hair tied back, the base part is done on the system sliders, to which my ponytail or bun is attached. I noticed that part of the hair mesh has started moving with the neck, which it didn't used to.

This happened to me on the beta grid last week - so I wouldn't rule it out.

I'm not 100% sure because I haven't written down any numbers or anything, but a couple of months ago I noticed that some hairstyles that had previously fit me were now showing roots.

It is possible that I hadn't worn them since my old shape and they needed to be refit, but I can't recall having to refit any hair items when I originally changed over, just prim clothes.

Would this thread be of relevance?

Twice in my SL lifetime my height has been altered by 2", and being a heightist, i noticed immediately and corrected.

Couldn't a simpler explanation be the clothing-layer shoes? Prim shoes frequently include clothing layer shoes, to make them look right, and you may have changed that without changing the shape.

It could be for most inexperienced residents.

But i check my height nearly everyday. And all my alts have my shape.

So when it changes i know, and i have references. But it has only happened twice ever.

When we went from 1.0 to 1.1 in 2003, and in January 2008.

Only when Ruthed, I guess. During a recent grid attack or just before it, my av shape was suddenly different and only part of my clothes/skin/hair loaded, too.
