Peter Mandelson?

I read in the paper today that Peter Mandleson, ex minister, minister, et al.has joined SL to promote Labour and his own views...........Nice one.

If anyone gets a sniff about his location bell me so I can orbit the ba.......rd. RWFL

Yup they're embracing the new media, I think the website officially launches next month, not sure exactly what he's going to achieve here but he could give LL advice on how to spin their blog posts!

Sigh -- I really hope we don't have a huge influx of real life agendas into the virtual world. I know there have always been causes of one sort or another, but in general I come in world to escape all that.

There are loads here already, they're easy to ignore so I don't think it will make much difference to most of us.

Well Mandy would be a good recruit for these forums. The most reviled man in British politics. Count your fingers after you shake hands with him and don't believe a word he says. The wikipedia article is an excellent example of low-key British wit mainly for what it doesn't say to avoid litigation. The best bit is this of course.

Born and raised an agnostic, no one was more surprised than I when I discovered a connection to God at age 39. I don't feel as if I'm a better person now than I was before I "got religion" and I don't think God loves me any more now than then. I always paid attention to my conscience, tried to use common sense and hoped for good things for myself and everyone else. And I don't consider anyone to be "godless" even if they do think of themself as a heathen.

I'm glad you were joking about the other thing. Sadly it seems there are those who say stuff like that in seriousness - I'm all for making fun of them.
