Ok...a little melodramatic...but...just, on a whim, I checked the SL website friends list...and it actually had names on it...so, I hit reload about 4 times just to see if that list would change as it is wont to do, and NO...it did not change at all! Can it be working now???? Are my hopes too high? Will this mean I will actually have friends in my list when I get home and log on to SL? Will the hippos have gone back whence they came????

Oh damn....well. the good news is that I went out of the SL website, and back a bit later...and the same people were still on there...maybe they will be stuck there for good.

Mine had a few new friends on it for awhile too. If it was fixed, of course, it had to be broken again which it is. They don't want us going into sock afterall.

My friends list says my alt is on...........which she ain't. And two Euripean friends who are never on this late (my time). Plus one friend who I know in RL who called me a while ago on a real life phone.....she ain't on either.
I figure the web site friends list is not what I would call accurate .  |

Seems like for the past couple of weeks the Friends list on the website has been borked that way. I think what it's actually doing is caching a previous version of the list from a few hours ago or a few refreshes ago or... something. If you hit reload several times in succession, it'll show several different results. None of them necessarily right.
 Then I'll get inworld and my friends list won't show at all, having all been replaced by (hippos). Nice. |
