Hi,
for a few weeks now my friends list website http://secondlife.com/community/friends.php is messed up. It shows friends online who aren't on my ingame FL anymore. I mean nice that I can still see those ex-friends  but actually that's not the way it should be, is it ?Any fix, suggestion, help for that ? Thanks a lot in advance... _____________________

My list seems to be behaving properly lately, but your post tends to confirm my suspicion that when the web list is borked it's showing an artifact from some point in the past, as if from an archive.

It has been messed up for a while now, so much so that I never use it anymore. It was officially out of service some time back, probably trumpeted as "resolved" but as a tool to see which of your friends are around, it's as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike.
Pity, because when it works, it *is* useful. The list, not the ashtray. _____________________

Yes it as been out of action for many weeks now, and still is.
As a non paying member of SL Linden Support do not want to know from me. Also I e-mailed the Linden Web site and I got no where with them too. Can I appeal to all who are paying members to help us by each sending a report to Linden regarding this broken service and hopefully due to shear volume they will put it right. Thanks Love June. |

Yes, on the SL webpage, the "Find you Friends Online" link is screwed.
I do wish they would fix it... it's very useful when it's working. I've used it a lot in the past. When working or casually surfing, you doesn't have to launch SL client to see which friends are available to play. The fact it's not noted as broken is also not good. For god sake, at least SAY it's broken if it is.... And it should be noted in the blog as broken also.... |

The Friends Online web page has been broken for several weeks. There is a JIRA issue for this at:
http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-511 If you haven't voted for it yet then please do, Maybe, someday, the Lindens will get the message that their customers really would like to have this fixed. |

What I totally don't understand is why LL haven't just taken down the service, as they have many times in the past when they knew there were issues. getting wrong data causes more drama than no data.....
Has anyone attended some office hours somewhere and asked them this? It seems frankly very strange behaviour... _____________________

It's not a feature I care about any way but every time I ever do check it it says I have 0 friends on line. I often use the friends list when I am in world though and I have never had 0 friends on line there.

I am totally disgusted with LL at this point. Is the Friends List REALLY that hard to fix? Between this issue and the rest of the ongoing problems in SL, LL will be hard pressed convincing me to renew my membership.
